I have been working at PAE full-time

    Pros

Its a small office and not too crowded. You do have your own work area.

    Cons

There is such a great gap with the salaries. And lower paid employees have to pay more for insurance. Go figure.

    Advice to Management

Separate the classes, give incentives to low pay employees. Open up postions available to everyone.

  3. "Great coworkers and direct supervisors however the upper management gene pool could use a little chlorine."

    Pros

Travel to New Zealand and Antarctica and work with amazing people in unbelievable remote places. Free all you can eat buffet every night.

    Cons

Every year they reduce the benefits and small perks to reduce bottom line and maximize profit. Pay is minimal and HR treats you as exactly that, a human resource.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your people and they will take care of you, treat them as a commodity and they will find greener pastures.

I have been working at PAE full-time

    Pros

    1. Salaries competitive

    Cons

    1. Poor communication from managers.
    2. Depending on division, lack of opportunities.
    3. Personalities get in the way of heading job done efficiently and effectively.

    Advice to Management

PAE is very siloed. Recommend better way of structuring company

I worked at PAE full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast-paced work environment that is constantly changing so you learn hands-on.

    Cons

M&A activity results in uncertainty of permanent positions. Stressful environment during most periods of the year.

    Advice to Management

Better support can be given to administrative and functional staff.

    Pros

Easy to get hired and good work life balance. Literally that's all I've got.

    Cons

There is zero incentive or care for their employees below the "management" level. You are 100% treated as a cog in a wheel. Limited PTO, that includes your sick leave and benefits packages that foist the vast majority of cost off onto the employee. Zero opportunity for growth. Do not expect any type of meritorious recognition. Management, at least on my project, was completely incompetent and NO, ZERO, ZILCH idea of what I did, let alone how I did it. Management had zero professional boundaries and was dramatic to a fault.

    Advice to Management

Take a good hard look at your project managers.

I worked at PAE full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    As the title suggest
    New blood is in order
    Make this organization incredibly successful
Way to much old boy network.
    Great markets and opportunities

    Cons

    Not enough new blood.

    Advice to Management

Time to leave and your equity partner knows that fact.

    I worked at PAE full-time

    Pros

Exciting work in the defense industry if you are in the right position.

    Cons

Low pay. Substandard living conditions. Treated with no respect, you are a second-class citizen. Remote location with little to no conveniences. Be prepared for isolation, no TV, no internet, over-inflated store prices (you give 1/3 of your low pay back to the company store just so you can eat).

    Advice to Management

Have your managers take some management classes. It's obvious they know nothing about how to treat employees.

  10. "A company to work with"

I have been working at PAE full-time

    Pros

    Cons

    haven't come across at all.
