I have been working at PC Miracles full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Extremely proud of the way this team works together. More than anything, our whole team understands and drives for the same end goals for our clients and for ourselves. Because of this, we consistently challenge each other to continuously improve.

    Cons

Nothing at the moment. Team is supportive through roadblocks and we work through them.

I worked at PC Miracles full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Small close nit company, Easy going, you will know everyone

    Cons

Not much room to grow, job descriptions do not match roles and resposibilities, Salaries are on the very low end for roles. Company is still figuring things out after being in business for 25 years. Servicing small to mid level clients when they shoudl be obtaining larger clients.

    PC Miracles Response

    COO

Since July 2017, PC Miracles has created several opportunities for growth and specialization through the redesign of our proven service delivery process. As we continue to grow, we add additional opportunities for existing and new team members. We take team development and professional growth seriously. Our passion for the development of our team resulted in our leadership team dedicating one of our annual goals toward career development and employee satisfaction. As part of our annual planning process, we develop quarterly rocks with defined success metrics around each of the yearly goals ensuring continuous improvement and traction. We believe that when we are recruiting, we need to have an open mind. There are times when a candidate applies for a position, but there is a different role that is a better fit for their current skill set. In those cases, we discuss with the candidate and may offer to bring them on in a different capacity for the time being. We have been in business since 1994 when our President started the company while still in high school. Since that time, we have continued to grow and adapt to the changing models of our industry. We always have valued long-standing clients that have been with us through our evolution, and we will continue to show them the same loyalty even if they aren’t within the size range that we currently target. We partner with businesses ranging from 10 – 500 users and do not discriminate against smaller clients who may not be as profitable. PC Miracles treats all clients as our partners and value personal relationships with every client regardless of their size. Our approach, paired with technology results, has contributed to our 26-year proven track record of helping businesses leverage technology.

    Pros

Very cool place to work. Downtown Pontiac (which is making a comeback) with all sorts of great little restaurants for lunch. Work can be challenging, but that is a good thing.

    Cons

None really. Possibly the fact that it's a 20 minute drive in the am.

I worked at PC Miracles full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Many different things to learn. Many great coworkers.

    Cons

Pay can be very low, especially for experienced people. If they say you can work at home part or all of the time GET IT IN WRITING IMO extremely micromanaged with a large number of managers per employee who do not strike me as having much idea what they are doing or any vision for the future. They were very concerned about start times and keeping close track of when people missed work but expected large amounts of (free) work at home, on weekends, after "quitting time", etc. Turnover is extremely high. They have employee pictures on the website. Check it once a week and see if it changes. If you interview there, ask how many of them have been there two years or more and how many total employees they have had during that time. Also ask them how their bonuses work, and how much per employee they have actually paid out in the past 12 months. Ask them how many hours a week you are expected to work and if you are compensated for those hours

I have been working at PC Miracles full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company is growing and going through an organizational re-structuring that will provide several different pathways providing team members a path to unlimited growth potential. Our President is receptive to ideas that differ from his own and welcomes feedback, everyone truly has a voice. This is the best team I have ever worked with and truly enjoy everyone's company. PC Miracles promotes personal advancement and will pay for certifications up front ( no waiting on reimbursement). Our goal is to develop each team member in a way they can go anywhere and have a job offer but that they won't want to leave our team.

    Cons

The hours can be long, but that is not uncommon for IT. Lack of a work life balance used to be a much bigger problem but the company has focused on promoting a more positive environment and does not create incentives (or apply guilt) that make people over work themselves.

    Pros

Can't think of any. I would give a zero if I could.

    Cons

Owner pays poorly! Salary based on 45 hours a week but he works you 55 hours or more. Won't give you a raise unless you get certifications even if you have 10+ years experience. But you have zero time to get certified because that's not billable. High employee turnover rate. I was there my first two months and every other employee quit, making me the senior tech. Worked there 2 miserable years and my Christmas bonus was a pink slip. He brings in unpaid interns but bills customers for advanced tech work and teaches them nothing. Run from this place! After getting fired with no explanation I went and got a job with twice the salary based on 40 hours a week. I sound like a disgruntled former employee because I am! Most of their customers requested me by name and I was very dedicated working many more hours than I was paid for. My reward was no raise for two years and getting fired for Christmas.
