    Pros

    Decent base salary and benefits, good exposure to pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. Good starting job right out of college. Broad, expansive opportunities within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

    Cons

    Poor management, poor processes, long hours, older site and offices. No groups like to take responsibility and very political. No recognition and sense of urgency always to rush everything through schedule. High turnover. Continuous, repeated issues on floor due to equipment and operator error.

    decent pay; however, still below national average

    very political...if you're not in the management cliche then your position will alwayss be in jeopardy.

    support your experience employees and ignore the gossip that goes on.

    I can't think of any.

    Cons

    Extremely poor management, the Princeton site is run by young managers who don't know what they are doing. There is no career development whatsoever and there is favoritism abound. There is way too much focus on OE (operational excellence) initiative and science discussion is nonexistent. Everyone is basically technicians.

    Great employees to work with and very friendly and approachable.

    Cons

    Lack of management involvement of groups. To much delegation going on and no accountability by management, nor communication.

    Advice to Management

    Know your employees’ worth. Go work Beside them and get to know what’s going on in the areas instead of just checking the revenues.

    Pros

    The work affects the lives of millions of patients, there is a group of people who try and make a difference by coordinating events, supporting charities, and engaging the site. The peers you work with will 9/10 bend over backwards to help you.

    Cons

    They drag you around until you either break or you start to slack. They make promises and rarely provide closure. The management team is difficult to work with as it is clear they don't all work well together themselves. They say engagement is "critical" but do not support individual participation nor do many managers encourage inclusion on the annual review process. The organization is in constant chaos and they continue to re-org with very little benefit it seems. No such thing as a development ladder and personal development is 3rd priority behind $ and then KPIs. Poor investment into facilities, equipment, and training

    Advice to Management

    Change, change your focus, change your JPR process, and commit to developing talent in the company and not just toss them around to "develop" them. You will convert even the most devoted team members to hate coming to work and claw at any opportunity to leave in an attempt to save their sanity. Require training for every associate when they start a new job.
