      Pros

      1. Career advancement 2. Job stability 3. Onsite oppurtunities 4. If working in India, the leave system is good 5. Good training facility 6. In India, the transportation is the one of the best 7. Well structured organization, adhering to processes and a person starting their career in Patni will be well rounded within a few years in terms of process knowledge, project leadership and technology expertise

      1. Low pay 2. Management competency low 3. Management politics (related to point 2) 4. Inabiity to track employee performance accurately (related to point 2)

      Pros

      The work environment is the best. The managers mostly don't do micro management. Time offs are ok as long as they don't hamper any critical release.

      Cons

      Low pay and one tends to get lost in the crowd. Job rotation is not considered mandatory unless the employee asks for a change, one could get stuck in a project for years. The company goals are not well communicated to the employees on a regular basis.

      Pros

      live a stagnant life, retired life. Patni has a lot of scope to improve in communication area. The communication between the heads in Mumbai office and thebranches in other countries is all broken. also they can learn from mindtree consulting. get some more brilliant guys like they do in Mindtree and compete aggresively. also get some more training from the vendor who will be more professional rather than the inhouse trainings. having said that patni also has some plus points. as they do have a laid back atmosphere at delivery sites. so if you want to live a retired life than its a good place to be. but expect just less 1% increments in a year.

      Cons

      No Training, No investment in employees.
