Top Review Highlights by Sentiment
- "I’ve yet to encounter a company where senior leadership is as invested in their employees as the leadership at Propeller is with their staff." (in 8 reviews)
- "The Leadership team is transparent about the firm's focus on growth and encourages consultants to participate in that endeavor." (in 5 reviews)
- "The account directors can have 10+ direct reports and are not able to do proper preformance management." (in 5 reviews)
- Current Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
The people are great. Company culture is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Company is working hard to offer opportunities for growth.
Cons
None that I can think of.

Pros
- Full of genuinely kind and awesome people - Values educational development and pays for certifications
Cons
- The work is purely staff augmentation - If a client or assignment is not a good fit, management has no incentive to move the consultant and will keep the consultant in place for every contract extension requested by the client - Salaries are a bit low and compensation conversations are kept vague at mid year and end of year reviews

Pros
1. Easy work 2. Very flexible working hours
Cons
1. Management team is very inexperienced. The account directors can have 10+ direct reports and are not able to do proper preformance management. If you are looking for mentorship, you are not going to get it. The senior leadership is very insular. They say they want people to contribute and that they want diverse opinions. The reality is when people do voice a different opinion their are black listed and labled as "The Undercurrent"(a Propeller leadership term). 2. The pay is about $15k-$20k below what you can get elsewhere 3. The work is really rough. The name of the game is Sales and they are selling as much as they can no matter who bad the work is. It is very hard to get off bad work as preformance managers do not have the time to properly manage their direct reports and care for their careers.

Pros
Fast pace, fun people, growing company, always an opportunity for growth
Cons
Secretly cutthroat, no transparency in actual decision making, flighty and emotional leadership that changes their mind on a whim, highly political favortism

Pros
We are lucky enough to work with a lot of smart, kind, and thoughtful people. Propeller is consistently looking at how to bring more value to customers and is incredibly open-minded to feedback from employees and internal growth. 100% a start-up environment, lots of freedom.
Cons
Very few cons with working at Propeller. You just have to keep in mind if your priority is having shares in a start-up (high risk/ high reward), or working at a larger company that can offer higher wages based on a higher budget.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Challenging, good people, employee owned
Cons
Pay is on the lower end
- Current Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Great culture and great leadership. True sense of psychological safety, a "you win, we win" mentality, and passion for improving the world.
Cons
On-boarding remotely has been a bit awkward, but the recruiting, orienting, and leadership teams have done great work making it as connected and smooth as possible.
