I'd rather be homeless than work here again.

The benefits were the best part of working here. Medical, dental, vision, 401k (they don't match).
Cons
Management is a joke. They'll promise to give you promotions then flake and hire someone else. They already know who they're going to hire for leadership even before interviews begin. I was interviewed by a Senior Leader who paid no attention during my interview and seemed bored. At one point, she left the room to get her personal phone in the other room to check it. They enforce mandatory overtime during end of quarter. Layoffs galore.

Pros
There are very few- you may get lucky to find a few other fun team members.
Cons
First- they will try to hire designers with degrees full of false promises of career advancements and pretending they are full of prestige. This is a dead end job that sells furniture. That is all- you will only sell furniture. Do not believe the lies about install trips, commercial projects, etc. second- this place is a cult. Trust the other reviews. Upper management is terrible and cliquey. They are worse than high school girls. Designers with degrees- please beware! Note: as a professional now in the commercial design industry- RH does not carry the same prestige it used to. Developers and clients are over this place as well. It is embarrassing. Cheap furniture, with an unjustified price tag.

Great coworkers!
May 17, 2023 - Client Service Associate in Nashville, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Looking for a company that will help you to build strong interpersonal relationships? This would be the place. - Values , Vision and Beliefs are at the core of everything you do! - Autonomy to do what is best for the customer!! - Ability to put your own exceptional spin on customer service! - Script-free which allows for a more organic conversation with external stakeholders! - Beautiful products that are easy to sell!
Cons
- Growth within the company is rare for remote employees. - This is a company that talks the talk but does not walk the walk. They don't put their money where their mouth is when it comes to valuing their employees as much as they claim. - Retention is not something they concern themselves with.

Fine start to a career but….
Feb 23, 2023 - Associate Designer in Corte Madera, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Beautiful place to work Great ten to work with Great to learn about the industry Great to gain confidence while talking and presenting to clients Good health insurance
Cons
-No bonus -No profit sharing -No stock options -No 401k match (Because of the above options, combined with uncompetitive wages, is the reason why it’s only good to work here as a start to your career if you have any dreams of retiring eventually) -Galleries are very top heavy, making a very long decision time on everything -Constantly understaffed -Not competitive pay -They use the values to make your feelings diminished and irrelevant because you don’t “see the vision” -Although it is a beautiful work environment, it’s so unnecessarily expensive that it’s impossible to enjoy the same in your home, even after the “great” discount (50% off the original price, or 33.3% off the member price) -They claim to not want to have a bonus structure in place because they don’t want to create competition between consultants (which I understand), but there are so many ways to create one without this. One example -If the gallery goal is met, everyone gets a % of their wage or a % for profit sharing. This is only one example but there are many structures -Multi-billionaire CEO while working class employees struggle to make ends meet -Bad hours / work weekends and late into the evening

Pros
The pay is decent for an entry level position. The values of the company are really great and are a roadmap for how to succeed. RH is a great company to work for that will push yourself to grow as an employee and leader. There is a rigorous hiring process, which makes sure that usually only the cream of the crop is hired, so most of your coworkers are excellent hardworking people. The vision of the company is inspiring and encourages you to keep working.
Cons
Minimal benefits, no 401k matching. Middle management often have egos and will refuse to take feedback. There is a huge disconnect between Field Leaders/ Upper Management and their galleries as everything about the Gallery team is funneled through the sole opinions of Gallery Leaders, which can be problematic. Team morale is low as of late as we keep getting reminders of "spend reductions" but keep boasting about our new real estate ventures, jets, yachts, and how luxuriously Gary (CEO) lives.

Too Many Chiefs and with Little Indians

*The pay was good *The lemonade is an addiction
Cons
The management and seniority of this place are overbearing. This workplace and their policies give off cult vibes. Want you to be whatever they claim you to be...if not they see you as a problem. I don't advise those with mental health problems to work here because they do not care! Management is so fake. They say they care for their employees but show the opposite and make you feel bad for feeling how you feel. The training wasn't that good, yet demand high expectations of employees. Good luck moving up because management will sabotage that if you don't watch out!
