I worked at RM (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was good while it lasted.

    Cons

Bad management decisions in HQ in the UK led to the closure of the US office.

I have been working at RM part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Nice new office facilities
    Good team work ethics
    Customer base expanding again
Always looking for new ideas - supportive of staff working on new developments

    Cons

Poor Senior Management Team - promotion and opportunities are about who you know not what your potential is.
Too much work off-shored to India - there are some good staff in ESI but not enough. The UK have to clean up all the messes they create.
Salaries are not competitive enough to keep the good staff on.
Still a lot if uncertainty about the viability of the company, staff morale low in many teams.
What was once an excellent benefits package that made RM stand out is now mediocre and "in line with comparators" to quote SMT.
Very much still an "old boys club" - very few senior positions for women and even less for part-time workers.

    Advice to Management

Stop off-shoring everything - cheaper resource does not equal an improved service for customers and supposedly it is our customers that are meant to be at the heart of everything we do.
Get rid of the boys only culture which exists.

I have been working at RM (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Compensation OK.
Good opportunities if u happy the seniors

    Cons

    No ONSITE for experienced people.

    Advice to Management

To management of RMESI. Please give onsite opportunities for existing employees. At several meetings we employees raised our concern on onsite opportunities. The management then made excuses like Not any onsite opportunity so far and In case if any such opportunities coming we will surely give. We believed it to the lack of openings. But recent days we could see that RM is in taking some freshers and giving onsite opportunities inleu of bond. Why don't can follow this pattern to existing employees too. Why this differentiation.

It's shame that even the fresh non experienced people joining in financial services are getting onsite opportunities but those who in other areas are giving none. .

No use in having long exit interviews judging the cause of employees resigning. The reason is clear. The wrong way of handling employees, nothing else.

    Pros

    1. Good team to work with
    2. Comparatively newer technologies are being used
    3. A good place to learn and explore.

    Cons

    1. Salary really low compared to industry standard
    2. Don't stay here for more than 2 years. Your career will drag.
    3. HR department is worse. And CEO tries to pull off all the perks offered to employees.
    4. Salary hike is really low.
    5. No flexible work timing
    6. No work from home.

    Advice to Management

Improve your hike and packages if you want your employees to stay here.

I have been working at RM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working in schools engages you with a variety of different technologies.

You're are the key to sorting and finding solutions for the clients you work with which can be very rewarding for yourself and for the schools.
    Generous pension scheme.

Work/life balance can be great as you're working to the schools time tables and generally in local schools.

    Cons

Annual reviews are poor, using the same key factors for everyone and not setting individual targets, and ignoring everything else that has been done.

If you are doing your job well, then your rarely hear or see from anyone else in the company including your own manager.

Pay is often ignored so when you get a job you can be on the same salary for years to come

Company feedback seems redundant even though the same issues are bought up year upon year

Rm do not do enough for the employees that work in schools we rarely have events planed for us but alway's hearing about head office events and the sales targets that theyve met

    Advice to Management

Push for your employees voices to be heard. Don't just set and forget when placing an employee.
