    Pros

Many of the people there are great team members and dedicated to doing their best and in a hospital setting this is so important. Good opportunities for mentorship within the hospital. Opportunities for advancement with in the SSM system. Utilizing 21st century technology to make jobs safer and more efficient.

    Cons

Scheduling often leaves you in a split week. Pay is not competitive, just so-so. Turnover is very high, and long term staff are often in the dull drums.

    Advice to Management

Understand that employees may be "numbers" to you, but if they feel like numbers, no one wins. Hospital and medical professions are already hard, very hard at times, so you have to care about employees quality of life and long term growth in order to keep them with you. If you don't, the effects are not in anyones favor. SSM has high standards in every area, with the exception of this one.

    Pros

Team leaders are awesome. Hiring process and interview very laid back and informal. Night shift people are awesome to work with. Great place for new grads to work and gain critical care experience. 2 nurses to a team along with a paramedic. Patient ratio 3:1.

    Cons

Patient population can sometimes be difficult to work with.

    Advice to Management

Give more good feedback on how nurses are working rather than always what we are doing wrong.
