    Negative Outlook

    Pros

    Not much Good to say

    Cons

Cold calling door-to-door, business-to-business, high pressure sales of merchant services.
If you fail to close a deal, weekly, you receive less warm leads.
Impersonal Training - all done online.
No local support, as the Company has two Offices nationwide, West Palm Beach, FL is the East Coast Office, and Portland, OR is the West Coast and Corporate Headquarters.
100% Commission Based, don't try, unless you have a vast amount of money, in reserve!
Very similar to a Pyramid Scheme!

    Advice to Management

Restructure your business model, to be more friendly to both your Associates, and to the prospective clients. Provide more face to face training and mentoring.

I worked at Securus Payments full-time

    Pros

There are no Pros... at all.

    Cons

    -Impossible work hours
    -Absolutely no payoff
-Training and on-boarding is an absolute joke and almost non-existent
-Executive staff is more concerned with fudging paperwork to gain approval than they are with successful business relationships
    -Nonexistent employee support system
-Impossible to hire reps because the company is so terribly structured
-No support system in place to service accounts that you broke your back to acquire

    Advice to Management

    Just close the doors.

    Pros

Schedule was good. In at 630 and out at 3 everyday. The only other reason Im still typing is cause I have to

    Cons

These people have no idea how to run a business. Scam artists, and people who flat out dont do anything but wait for things to fail are what their in and out management team was like. Very poorly run

I worked at Securus Payments full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is a fun company to work for, with a good staff and some opportunity for success and personal growth if you work hard.

    Cons

There could be better pay, but with that said there is plenty of opportunity to earn bonus money in most departments.

    Advice to Management

    More transparency.

Organized, reputable company that makes a good effort to connect with contractors in the field.

Commission only, so you can spend a lot of time, energy and money to make money.

I have been working at Securus Payments full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The rates are great. The pay is great. The flexible time is great. The management is behind you to succeed.

    Cons

The leads aren't qualified. No local referrals. No true Cost Benefit/Savings Analysis Tool comparing rates/savings against the competition.

    Advice to Management

Need better qualified leads, any kind of comparative rate training and professional presentation materials to give to prospect to create trust.

I have been working at Securus Payments full-time

    Pros

You can make some good money

    Cons

1099 Employee - No Benifits - Travel Trips - company pays for the motel, but most are one to one and a half star places - in very bad areas - marketing leads are mostly dead leads - two daily conformance calls and a third trading call on Wednesdays. If the marketing calls and travel trip motels were better I would have stayed on but not worth the risk of catching something from the unclean motels and bad areas - can make better money with out risk to life or limb.

    Pros

Maybe dont take the in house leads and work your own leads.

    Cons

They expect you to work as a regular employee and keep you as a 1099. They are dishonest on there sales approach to clients - say on thing and do another. This is a looser company (check out the stock price). They said they would pay me for one of my sales and never did - watch out for these guys very dishonest. The cold call leads they generate and say have some value are a big waste of time maybe one in a 150 hit - let see at 7 calls per day. . . - and its your gas and your uncompensated time.

    Advice to Management

fix from the top down. Give the reps a chance to work the leads - you just jam more BS on top of the reps and they do not get a chance to followup. Create a process that is positive and most of all PAY THE EMPLOYEES FOR THE WORK THEY EARNED. I was stiffed out of over 2000 bucks.

    Pros

Great enviroment honestly believed I was saving people money by getting the reps in there.

    Cons

Was laid off along with 15 other people's after only 25 days with company even though I was lead to believe that the company was thriving and I had a stable job

We value each and every employee at Securus. Everyone here works their tales off everyday to make this company great. At times it seems like I need 50 more people to handle the growth and other times... More
