I have been working at SentriLock full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great PTO. Work from home a few days a week. Casual culture. Smart People. Company cares about employees. Learning and growth opportunities.

    Cons

The company product is very agile which is a great thing for the customers not so much from support perspective.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work of supporting your team.

I have been working at SentriLock full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Employee focused, treats you like you’re part of the family.

    Cons

No diversity in management level, you’re only promoted on a ‘who you know’ basis, rather than what you know. HR prefers to hire externally rather than internally so no job advancement for its employees.

I have been working at SentriLock full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great Benefits, Cafe, Co-workers are usually very friendly, Have your own desk, no past experience needed.

    Cons

Highly stressful, little to no breaks because of QUE demand, Managers and Call review reps are bias and will give you lower call quality if they don't like you, No way to move up, no pay increase even after a year with good score reviews , schedule or shift change is impossible. CSR2's don't respond to you sometimes and are rude, good luck if your sick, only value people who have been here for several years, Managers...

    Advice to Management

I think working here has taught me a lot but with the stress and overall issues this place has, I would not recommend it to anyone. Management doesn't listen, even if you have great ideas about improving their product they don't care. I submitted several ideas and never heard back. Its highly stressful and even though you get paid breaks, you don't get to use them when you need them because of the heavy QUE all the time....

I have been working at SentriLock full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The pay is good and the pto benefit is great.

    Cons

The amount of people who don’t mind their own business and want to point out everything someone else is doing. They give in to complainers and ignore the people who put in hard work and hours. Their SentriSmart program means nothing when you don’t get an actual incentive for it. You get put in a drawing at the end of the quarter and pray you get picked. That’s it. They also feed into the drama and don’t stop it. Might...

    Advice to Management

Do more for those who actually put in the hard work and put those who make it their business to be in others business in their place so they aren’t worried about it anymore. The maturity level on the floor is horrible and you all let it be that way. You’re best people are going to start leaving if you don’t show them more appreciation. You say they are your best and you want them on the phones to help when you are busy...

I worked at SentriLock full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent benefits, Christmas parties, holiday perks, Quarterly raises and free admission to certain perks depending on work schedule. Does help you keep track of fitness, has certain incentive to assist in losing weight or eating right.

    Cons

They don't quite have it figured out. Management are rookies with the exception of 1 man(Who quite honestly deserves a better job: a place that would appreciate his talents more). It becomes a problem to work at a company that chooses favorites. New QA grades calls based upon who she likes in the company, Management doesn't want to acknowledge that because most managers delegate their work to QA so in order to keep pushing...

    Advice to Management

I know you say you guys are an equal opportunity work place. Maybe you are in other departments with the exception of CSR 1 & 2. When you see the wrongdoing within a department, correct it, Do not send emails of broken promises. Find the source of the issue: people in the QA Department, Managers who violate their privileges to leave early or get ahead without actually doing the work. Pay attention to the employees...

I have been working at SentriLock full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    The on-boarding was very thorough.

    Cons

I wouldn't advise my enemy to work here, let alone my friends. The management will never listen to you. They only listen to the godfathers and godmothers who have been with the company for so many years. The management is afraid of offending them, so whatever they’re told, is what they (the managers) would do. One thing that surprised me most was the fact that those older employees who have been with the company for...

    Advice to Management

My advice to the IT managers, don't be afraid to call a spade a spade. When people come to report to you, try and do your due diligence and not jump to conclusion. You have to think outside the box and know that, some of these people have their own selfish motives. It could be that they don't like the person they're reporting to you, simply because of their race, ethnicity, or simply because they feel the person is a...

    Pros

SentriLock actually trains their new hires, which is awesome because a lot of places don't do that. The managers are kind and intelligent and they actually listen when you speak to them.

    Cons

Only downside is the commute and that's not their fault
