SmartFocus is terrible

Pros

Great place to work if like ridiculous deadlines, high pressure, and low morale. Company changes direction on a weekly basis. The sad thing is that the technology is pretty interesting but the lack of focus makes for an unstable platform and overworked support staff.

Cons

The company refuses to invest in its people or its systems. I have never experienced an organization with a 50-70% turnover rate year after year. The people are depreciated faster than the equipment.

Rotten to the Core

Pros

Absolutely none. Couldn't leave this field blank.

Cons

Yeah, so the majority of these negative reviews stem from the sales/marketing dept in the London office, but the dysfunctional, bullying culture that this company cultivates permeates into the development department as well. This place is a revolving door of developers. Even with a small team, management does not properly recognize those with actual skills and talent to help with the redesign and re-architecting of the franken-code. Priorities are not managed and urgency is non-existent. The bar is extemely low and the bullying and territorial culture does not promote collaboration or camaraderie. Those who have the smarts realize this is a sinking ship and find much greener pastures elsewhere.

Pros

None, really. Except being a bit lenient on days off and working from home... Also, the benefits are not bad. 401k and health. Previously, their bonuses/commissions were good but recently this has changed and they took forever to tell employees about the new plans.

Cons

Management is terrible. Company is way too focused on sales. Clients are unhappy due to the lack of help from support and account managers are only focused on renewing clients - not keeping them happy. Barely any real training for employees. The product is terrible and has many flaws that no one wants to fix because they only want to focus on new features.
