    - Monday Bagels, beer on tap, lots of snack and drinks to enjoy

    Cons

Not a ton to say here. It's a great company for you if you are motivated, a fast learner and team player that enjoys being busy more than being bored.

I have been working at Smartling full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-pays more than other B2B SaaS companies for top talent
-powerful software (best in the industry)
-smart people and constantly innovating (engineering releases weekly)
    -biggest and best customer logos
-heavily invested in marketing, top of the funnel and lead generation (SDRs)
    -promotes internally
    -data and results driven
-fully stocked kitchen with fruits, snacks, drinks, and beer on tap

    Cons

-be ready to work hard, this is a competitive industry (translations are a commodity)
-we're a global company with global customers, be ready to take calls with people early in the morning and late to get deals done
-being the best software available means we cost more

    Advice to Management

keep promoting internally, investing in teaching your employees and salespeople about the product, and continuing to innovate.
-don't be afraid to let the SDR team dig deeper into the product and understand the data storage systems and their technical integrations

I worked at Smartling full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

From a sales oriented perspective, high achievers will do extremely well. Great products for revenue producing and efficiency gain initiatives make Smartling a compelling offering in the market place. Energetic work environment in a state of the art facility in midtown New York.

    Cons

Sometimes the pace is really fast. It's not for everyone but if you've been a strong performer selling to international and national enterprises, you will do well here.

    Advice to Management

Expand more aggressively into international markets, the formula works, just accelerate into more geographies with a local presence.

I have been working at Smartling full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Good compensation
    - Flexible PTO
    - Decent benefits and insurance packages
    - Fully stocked kitchen, and if you're a coffee person, consider yourself SET
    - Friendly co-workers
    - Central office location, lots of restaurants/bars around

    Cons

The culture is a bit lacking. The teams themselves get along pretty well, but company-wide there doesn't seem to be an emphasis on getting to know people across departments. It's up to the individual, which is fine.

Communication is sometimes poor. Many updates to the product are launched without the necessary people being aware, which can be challenging. We've at least started working on this...

And the product...it certainly is powerful...and while good in many ways, there's still a lot of work to be done to make it more user-friendly.

    Advice to Management

    Keep treating your employees well!

I have been working at Smartling full-time

    Pros

    - The office is great with lots of cool meeting rooms
    - Unlimited healthy snacks
    - Very flexible time off for travel etc

I read all of the past reviews and I think that people were just bitter because they didn't last here or were not good at their jobs.
I've been here for many years and I am very happy here.

    Cons

Some of the management can be mean but millennials feel so entitled and don't want to work hard. This company tries to give these young people opportunity for growth and all they do is complain.

I worked at Smartling full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People, Product and Mission. The company rewards effort and results, and if you're open minded, you will learn a lot. You are surrounded by a lot of smart people, who are also great people to grab a beer with after hours.

    Cons

There are no deal breakers. From an annoyance standpoint the elevators sometimes take a long time. Information flow can be difficult unless you make an effort to go after the info you need.

    Advice to Management

Keep rewarding your A players. Invest more in company events and concentrate on culture.
