I worked at SnapLogic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The product is good. Smart talented colleagues were everywhere, trying to do their individual best. Most of the best in marketing and sales have left.

    Cons

The CEO surrounds himself with a patriarchal culture and a cadre of yes-men that has led to a systemic toxicity. He dominates every meeting with no room for professional candor, disagreement or innovative thinking. If you speak up and state the obvious problems with a plan to resolve them, you are shunned from meetings and discounted by management.

Hyper focus on short term revenue and a broken sales process has led to a massive gap in sales/marketing/HR leadership. No cohesive strategy or vision (because the leaders don't know how to think this way), forcing teams to focus on firefighting, rather than real competitive, strategic planning.

The company has fallen behind competition with lack of experienced, quality leadership in marketing, sales, and no senior HR leader for this size company.

There is a complete lack of quantitative competitive positioning, messaging and sales plays that support growth.

Employees are not given room to grow professionally. The wave of employees leaving and the lack of any new hires reveals they are clearly preparing to be acquired.

    Advice to Management

The lack of a coherent strategy, leadership support and vision has lead to the unraveling of overall quality and culture. It may be too late, as many talented and passionate people have left or are leaving.

I have been working at SnapLogic full-time

    Pros

Generally good people, nice office, work/life balance, used to have a good HR team

    Cons

Good people are leaving, leadership is all over the place, arrogance and ego at the top makes for emotional decision making versus data-driven, very political for a place that claims to be so values-based

    Advice to Management

See the writing on the wall - this old formula just isn't working

    Pros

Great Product. SnapLogic's platform allows the user to connect their data among different applications using drag and drop User Interface, without the need to write a single line of code. Although, the users are free to write code inside the appropriate Snap (Connector) or develop their custom Snap.

Talented Engineering Team: The Engineering team consists of talented and open minded folks, who are given the right environment to create quality products

A great CEO: Gaurav is a great person to interact with and is very approachable. He joins lunch along with all other employees and is extremely humble. He clearly articulates the vision of the company and is transparent on his communication. His Ping Pong skills are pretty good too, among other things.

Friendly & Passionate Culture: People in all departments are friendly and passionate on what they do.

    Cons

Can't think of any con that stands out from my experience. SnapLogic is improving continuously by listening to the feedback from Employees and Customers.

    Advice to Management

The number of new customers are growing at a much faster rate than the number of new Engineers being hired. This is a good problem to have for a growing startup. The problem can be addressed by hiring more Engineers in a strategic manner.

    Pros

Great culture with mature HR department that truly cares about their people. Generous benefits for a healthy work environment. New leadership in sales and marketing has solidified the innovative and intense product and engineering teams.
One of the few places that I have worked where I look forward to Monday's working side-by-side with such intelligent, driven and passionate people.

Quarterly reviews and bonuses maintain constant coaching and interaction with leadership and teams. We have a focus and driven culture that rewards the innovative mind and that entrepreneurial spirit is seen in the new hires from top colleges that are inspired to push the boundaries in our product development.

    Cons

None come to mind at this time.

    Advice to Management

Continue investing in your great people.
