I have been working at SnapLogic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent culture and a very solid value proposition to the customer. While I have only been here a few months, the sales organization has a very focused engagement strategy that started paying off very early. There's a very simple, yet effective internal alignment between inside/outside sales that executes lead generation with a high success rate. Moreover, the service itself is very easy to use and makes a very positive impression with prospective customers.

    Cons

Reinforcing how we are different from the competition: We are not singularly an ETL, EDI, ESB platform, but an IPaaS solution unifying all these areas. The more our customers realize this, the more we will dominate the space.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. You're keeping your sales people motivated and hungry and applying the right amount of "pressure" to ensure we stay that way.

I have been working at SnapLogic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ability to make an impact, grow and develop your career and skills, and interact with all levels of staff.
The company genuinely cares about what its employees think and wants to make working at SnapLogic a great place overall which is why culture is such a key factor in the way they operate. For the most part, employee concerns are addressed but only when these concerns are raised/suggested. It is a fast moving environment so there is a lot going on and you have to be willing to ride the wave and gear up for what's ahead. Other cool perks: gym reimbursement, catered meals (so everyone is well fed), central location in the bay area, volunteer/wellness opportunities, and market compensation.

    Cons

It's a start up so yes, there are smaller teams and more to do than your more established 500 person company. The current San Mateo location is in an old office building with its fair share of office repairs, but the good news is there has been talk of an office move with free parking and onsite amenities. There's also been recent changes as far as senior management which have some folks a bit concerned.

    Advice to Management

Keep momentum going and culture as the forefront in how the company continues to grow and succeed. Make sure all employees are kept in the loop with all changes in store and in the know even when it doesn't pertain to wins.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    I worked at SnapLogic full-time

    Pros

    - Catered lunches
    - Close to Caltrain and downtown San Mateo
    - Decent benefits

    Cons

    - Office location is good but office itself is in an ancient building. Lots of inconveniences like lack of parking (you won't get a free parking spot until at least 1 year of service), terrible HVAC system (either too hot or too cold), awful bathrooms. Lack of meeting rooms, etc.
    - Massive CEO ego. He built this company to satisfy his ego so everything basically revolves around whether it makes him look good.
    - Final round of funding (F round) so this means IPO, being acquired or closing shop.
    - Excessive middle management. For such a small company, too many middle managers who don't do the actual work but only "manage", worse, micro-manage to keep their boss, and CEO happy.
    - Constant senior management turnover. In last year, VP Sales, VP Marketing, CFO, left. Mostly because the CEO keeps setting unrealistic goals and misreading the market.

    Advice to Management

Let your employees use their best judgement to do their work and manage by objective. Micro-management is so 90s.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at SnapLogic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Standard health benefits included for yourself.
    - Gym stipend of $30 (not the most generous like other startups but it's there).
    - Cell Phone Reimbursement up to $75.
    - Catered Lunch on Tuesday/Thursdays, Happy Hour Fridays.
    - Stocked kitchen with snacks, Coffee/Mocha machine (meh), soda's and energy drinks.
    - Good location for CalTrain and lots of downtown San Mateo Eateries.
    - Overall this MIGHT be a good job to gain first time experience for newbies in their field but be cautious of long term growth and empty promises of growth.
    - Great boss, great colleagues, etc. No complaint's with them.

    Cons

    - No set yearly evaluations, your VP or Director would need to vouch for it, even then HR has to approve it and you may have to wait MONTHS still.
    - HR lags terribly slow - getting the rolling on things.
    - No guaranteed parking for new employee's if you drive.
    - Some veteran employee's will get a garage parking pass worth $150 a month but those who take CalTrain don't get $150, we still have to use wage works and pay out of pocket with "tax free" dollars.
    - Company Culture is not the best, everyone seems to be in their own groups/departments and the happy hour is not a real happy hour in my opinion -they aren't fun.
    - Empty promises for growth and opportunity and compensation. Make sure you get things in writing before signing on board - that was my mistake.
    - Shake-up in upper management in 2016.

    Potential Employee's - beware!

    Advice to Management

    - Don't make promises to employee's that you can't keep, that can damage moral
    - Don't promote core values of "Intensity, Innovation and Integrity" when upper management doesn't even lead by example and follow through.
    - Upper management and Management, you're bringing people in for their expertise in their field right? Well, when you don't listen to feedback or advice, you won't grow or thrive.

    Pros

Camaraderie, benefits, flexibility, location, brand novelty.

    Cons

CEO supporting without question unexperienced long term followers in management positions (customer success, sales eng, professional services)
    Product NOT stable and scaling
Execs leaving the company: VPs left the company in 2016 are the VP of sale, marketing and HR
Absence of product vision impaired partially by instability and lack of reliability of current Snaplogic platform
Superiority of competitors offering when it comes to reliability

    Advice to Management

    Delegate, trust, make better choices.

I have been working at SnapLogic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Legacy vendors (Informatica, Tibco) were acquired by private equity firms. SnapLogic's opportunity is tremendous around both big data and cloud integration.

Modern platform is a huge pro compared to every other vendor.
    Motivated and smart team.
    Core values: Innovation, Intensity, Integrity.
Visionary, experienced and highly approachable CEO, Gaurav Dhillon, who co-founded and ran Informatica for 12 years through their successful IPO.
    Great benefits.
Challenging opportunities for growth in all departments of the company.
Silicon Valley HQ is 2 minutes from downtown San Mateo.
Great location and team in Boulder, CO.
    Big emphasis on Big Data.

    Cons

Yes there are competitors (new and old), but nobody else has such a broad and powerful enterprise platform as a service (iPaaS).

Integration is often seen as difficult and boring, so the category doesn't get as much media attention as cloud apps

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on enterprise customer adoption. Word is spreading that SnapLogic has the right platform at the right time.

I have been working at SnapLogic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Happy hour and twice a week lunches are awesome. Health and vacation time great. However, the benefits extend far beyond lunches and happy hours. The people on the team at SnapLogic are top-notch. There is always something to learn and somebody willing to help you. People genuinely care at SnapLogic not just about the company but about the people that make it happen. The I standards are high and everyone works their tails off to meet and exceed them. The CEO and founder Guarav truly makes everyone feel the importance they play in the company's future. The product is best in class and once seen truly sells itself. It may be cliche but in this case its true., It is an amazing and exciting time to be with SnapLogic.

    Cons

To quote our VP of Sales, "Effort is appreciated, but results are required." People who are looking to sit back and collect a paycheck are not the type of people you will find here. This place requires everyone to put in 110% in order to achieve what we need to. The work can be hard and challenging, but ultimately it is rewarding. As with any up and comer we are still establishing our name within the community so brand recognition is not quite there yet, but that is also what makes it exciting. We get to watch people start to understand what we do and why SnapLogic will be a standard in the corporate landscape.

    Advice to Management

The culture you have established is top-notch. Continue to hire people to build this amazing culture and it will continue to be an amazing place to be. From a technical standpoint continue to innovate and stay one step ahead of the competition.
