Pros

Cons

Where to start! In a nutshell, this is sofa.com's first crack at business in the United States. Just rounding 3 years in the states and still not one person knows what they are doing. Unfortunately, sending more people who don't understand the US and how to competently run a business in the US to try and 'save' it hasn't been the answer for all 3 years, yet they KEEP doing it. Upper management is completely unapproachable and always void of all blame. The staff will be blamed for everything having to do with the poor sales the US branch is experiencing. Speaking of poor sales, this is mostly due to the literal throwing away of money through all kinds of overspending in unnecessary showroom supplies, logistics, repairs/replacements of faulty product, UK marketing and social media firms, and mostly marketing. You'd also think with such a huge marketing spend that the marketing campaigns would be the best out there... nope. That was very apparent by the amount of traffic coming in the 1 hidden location on the 3rd floor of a building in New York. You want to make those insane numbers that have been created through overspending, huge overhead, and a crazy marketing spend? Open a street level store. Now I may just sound like another disgruntled employee - but you should ask the 17 other people who have left or were let go in the past year. That's correct - 18 people in 1 year. And this is for a staff that is usually 5-7 people at a time. Either way, good luck to those who remain - this place has less than a year until complete collapse. Oh, and the product isn't great either. Poorly built, sloppily upholstered, full of chemicals, and smelly! You're better off going to a discount competitor!

Pros

The concept itself is ingenious Product is actually quite nice and high quality Staff members are fun and personable Location is great Plenty of freebies

Cons

Management or lack thereof No formal training; very "sink or swim" Compensation is based upon how much management likes you, not the work you do.
