"Our people are our greatest assets"

Pros

Avoiding time with the family, always something to do.

Cons

All right, let me first address the quote my headline is currently mocking. With all of the negative reviews on here follows a nice copy/paste response from management regarding how they have grown in the areas complained about. I feel like the lack of sincerity shown in a copy/paste message is enough to show you how much they really care about their "greatest asset." I guess if you enjoy listening to your coworkers getting cussed out regularly and receiving the opportunity to be called stupid, this is the perfect job for you! On a serious note, if it was just a supervisor or lower management that regularly berated employees, then maybe I could brush it off, but it's pretty hard to let it slide when it is the CEO. The employees here are great and they do good work, but I can't help but think they could do so much better given more time. Everything is always a crunch and the end results are evident. Most of the projects are filled with bugs and extraneous code from employees copy/pasting to meet deadlines. To finish things off here, I'll end with the salary and benefits that SoftPoint offers their employees. -Competitive Salary: NOPE. -Competitive Benefits: NOPE.

If your actually a current employee or even if your not, we would be happy to discuss with you in person to see how we can make improvements because as a member a management I can confirm you have not expressed any of this to anyone. Start ups are hard but we try to help make it as easy as possible for employees to adapt to the fast paced environment and we will improve every day to ensure that but constructive feedback can help us do that not false claims. Thanks

Pros

There are almost no pros to working at Softpoint. The benefits and perks aren't that competitive and the atmosphere is terrible.

Cons

Softpoint is definitively the worst place that I have worked. The owners are verbally abusive and promote a culture of unnecessary panic, micro-managed product management, and distrust. There are good people that work there, but man does the entire atmosphere suck. Some of the interns are unpaid and it seems highly illegal because there are almost no educational aspects to the internships. The interns were just used as unpaid QA analysts. It was sad to see how they were treated and just cheated out of their time. I recently found their Glassdoor page and saw some of the positive reviews. Unless the Rivadallas are no longer actively involved business operations, there is no way that you should believe any of these positive reviews. If you are thinking of working here, please reconsider. The benefits are not competitive and there is nothing redeemable about the company culture.

Thanks for the feedback. I would be curious to know when you worked with us as we think we've evolved quite a bit in these arenas especially in the last year. As a young startup, we have suffered through many growing pains in the last 18 months and I can assure you as a member of the SoftPoint Executive Team, our company is committed to transparency, our core values, and SoftPoints’ mission to empower every company’s greatest asset - its people. I would also like to clarify one specific comment regarding unpaid interns, which is absolutely untrue as all interns are paid an hourly wage and we actually just added very attractive employee benefits package. Again, we're always looking to improve so we appreciate the thoughts and feedback.

While we value everyone's feedback so that we can improve, its a shame former employees post false reviews when being terminated for cause. Start ups are hard but we try to help make it as easy as possible for employees to adapt to the fast paced environment and we will improve every day to ensure that. Thanks
