    I worked at Strategy& full-time

    Pros

It still magically is some what reputable -- people often choose to work here over Deloitte S&O and OW but still - will never compete with MBB

    Cons

The firm is definitely not the same as it used to be -- they overhire, under-staff, and the culture is not the same. A bunch of partners are too cynical and don't create a culture.

    Pros

You can learn a lot - especially if you can pair your experiences here with some insights learned from working at places with actual leadership present and less toxic cultures.

    Cons

Unless you're a white or Indian man with a major inferiority complex or enjoy being around this group for some extremely strange reason, the culture here is not for you. Also, for a strategy house that charges premium rates we spend an awful lot of time looking up IC from other firms (e.g., Googling) because we have so little of it we can leverage.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who aren't psychotic and don't let people who are get away with it as a result of poor upward feedback. Believe it or not it shows quite a bit because the leaders remaining don't have good client skills - which is why the MO is just to double down on existing clients instead of diversifying the group. Also, please pay attention to diversity in recruiting and retention - it's extremely, extremely important.

    Pros

    Smart and riven people
Will learn tons in short span
    Great junior teams

    Cons

PwC shoved their one size fits all approach around process and culture to Booz, destroying any semblance of working for a top tier mgmt firm
Politics, or “developing relationships”, more important than the quality of work
Majority of Booz senior partners left
Junior partners have no choice but to stay

    Advice to Management

Too late. “Premium” part of the practice will continue to be diluted / niche
