I worked at Synchronoss full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A great work-life balance. Some exciting technologies and client projects.

    Cons

Employees seem to be treated at numbers. Senior leadership is not in touch with middle management and Dev/Ops teams (that are performing work that makes things run smooth).

    Advice to Management

Find true value in your employees as people and contributors to the business, rather than Employee IDs and paperwork.

I have been working at Synchronoss full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Synchronoss has a good sense of compensation appropriate to geography and job market. Equity participation grants are appropriate to garner loyalty and sense of impact to market value of the company.

    Cons

Bridgewater New Jersey HQ is out of the way. Reliance on carrier market is challenging given shifting market priorities of the carriers.

I worked at Synchronoss full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The number of highly skilled and intelligent people was refreshing to see.

    Cons

The lack of true direction from management and the chaotic nature of their application development teams made it impossible to actually manage operations and infrastructure correctly.

    Advice to Management

Hire some process engineers -- for the duration of my tenure, enterprise-wide software purchases set absurd constraints on process definition. Hire some build & release engineers to move yourselves out of the 1990s operationally. Set goals beyond simply "making the numbers".
