Pros

Really easy to get in. Interviews are none technical and just a random chat of work experience.

Cons

1. No technical expertise. 2. Preference on college grads over seniors with strong technical background. 3. In my experience, there is nothing much to learn, I ended up teaching skills on different roles like project management, architecture, technical stack decisions, business definitions. Even though my role was software developer. 4. Managers lack of management experience, there were not real performance reviews and no professional goals defined. 5. Not a place that focuses on keeping good talent. 6. Lack of job security, layoffs are very aggressive and done from one day to another. 7. It is not a place for experienced professionals in technology. 8. Selling skills over professional skills. 9. No cultural, ethnic diversity.

Pros

-Great healthcare and hourly rate. -This is a small local company so the they don't have the bureaucracy of a larger entity to slog through when you need a problem solved. - I had an issue with a manager from the client project at Panera being very abrasive and nearly abusive to the development team. They were aware of this issue and were receptive to my concerns when I brought them forward.

Cons

- They have a small client pool, mostly composed of the usual legacy St Louis companies... which are not something I see as appealing. When I requested a new project, all of the available prospects were not attractive opportunities. - I interviewed for a specific project, but after two weeks on the team I was moved involuntarily due to "budget cuts" to a completely unrelated project for which I had very little relevant experience. Had I been told I was actually interviewing for that project I would not have accepted the role. I was told that the clienat, Panera, had cited "budget cuts", but why would the client let Technology Partners bring me onto the project knowing that budget cuts were two weeks away? Either the client doesn't think long term, or Technology Partners was aware and chose to be dishonest. I gave the new project a chance, but unfortunately I didn't see it as a long term fit, I didn't find the work fulfilling or rewarding in any way and the only skill I possessed that was applicable to the project wasn't being utilized in a way that I could provide value. - They market themselves as "Silicon Valley solutions for the Midwest" which is disingenuous, from my experience nothing about the client project I was exposed to during my short time with TP resembled a "Silicon Valley Solution" ... even for St Louis.

What a Joke

Pros

There are no pros to working at this company.

Cons

The list is long. This place is "ran" by a husband and wife and their son is employed there as well. So that should tell you a lot. They try to act like all their employees are family, but in reality you are only family if you look like and act like them. Meaning you're a right-wing zealot and are very religious. Oh, and you better be white (and even better if you are female and very good looking). The "CEO", the wife, seems to think her job is just being a social media influencer. She really just wants to see how many LinkedIn connections she can accumulate. She actually does no real work and contributes to the actual business in any way. The husband is just as useless. HR here is a joke, so don't even bother with them if you have any issues. Just pick up and leave. Yes, they get all these "awards" for being a best place to work, but we all know those are bought. So don't believe any of it. This company hasn't innovated in years and is only still in existence because they were able to latch onto one or two big clients who don't pay any attention to whether or not they are getting what they pay for. These clients should wake up and realize they are repeatedly getting charged for resources that aren't even assigned to their account or if they are those individuals are doing little to know work. The team I was on was remote and there were so many people on the team who you could never get in touch with, didn't show up to meetings, and contributing nothing to the work for the client. There isn't really any advancement opportunities here and you most definitely are not going to learn any new technology. The few smart people who work here don't even admit to it and don't have the company name anywhere on their LinkedIn profiles! Be prepared to pay through the nose for your insurance too. The "family" apparently doesn't deserve to pay a fair share of their benefits. They deserve to pay 70-80% of it.
