Pros

they have one of the best audio teams I've seen in the industry despite tech pipeline, some very smart programmers work here most of the low-level staff are "good people", who just want to make a great game... they are burned-out and helpless, but earnest if you have a strong personality and can ingratiate yourself with management, you can save yourself from the frequent layoffs that occur here if you can at least "talk a good game", but can't really execute and don't have real talent, you can coast here for years before it ever gets notice dishonest upper managers is sometimes a benefit... for example - we delayed delivering a game by having them lie to the publisher that lightning struck our servers and blew out our build machines, giving us more time to focus on quality

Cons

studio management and production leadership is comprised of passive-aggressive, kick-down, do-nothing, "seagull" manager types who have no experience in the game industry outside of TRI upper tier production staff has been caught lying, admitted to electronically spying on employees, and has even been busted forging emails... not a very fun place to work whenever they get involved fiscally, the management here exceptionally selfish and cheap; infrastructure, tools pipeline, and staffing all tend to suffer miserably in this place... but massive layoffs still seem to occur they have the worst HR staff I've ever encountered in my life... when hired, I received someone else's offer letter... complaints go nowhere... childish drawings of penises regularly appear on walls, etc. with no repercussions... 401k support is non-existent the engine technology pipeline is a nightmare to work with - there is no way to work in the engine to prototype without both an engineer and artist supporting you at all times

Pros

I worked there for 4 years and met many great people I am proud to call friends. TRI gave me the opportunity to learn and work on many great properties and be part of every aspect of the process. If I wanted to learn or try something new I usually could.

Cons

Management was terrible, and at times seemed corrupt and inept.. there was petty infighting among them and gross mismanagement of project pitches and deadlines. There was always an expectation of crunch hours for months on end due to unrealistic deadlines or publisher changes. Raises were hard to come by, and bonuses were non existent.

Lots of potential wasted by poor upper management.

Pros

-In house tech is a bonus at times. -Easy place to get your foot in the door. -long history of development.

Cons

-Greedy, unqualified and dishonest upper management results in massive overtime, frequent layoffs and creative blockages. Instability of new business leadership and lack of projects lessens the efforts of a creative and driven staff. -Actions of the leadership management has resulted in a poor reputation and inability to land work to pay employees and apparently.... rent. A bad omen....the current office location in Irving is empty and closed up with a lockout notice from the landlord attached to the entrance.
