I have been working at Unify full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Involvement with ground breaking technologies and enterprise products.
Working with experts and professionals most importantly.
Good benefits in comparison to the rest of the Greek market.

    Cons

Need to work with so many different managers without specific assignmemnts across all Unify in order to get things done.

    Advice to Management

Look after your people and keep communication flowing even if is good or bad.

I worked at Unify (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Smart people, engaging projects, newer office space, international business with an opportunity to travel and work with people from different parts of the world

    Cons

Company has been in transition for over 10 years. Layoffs have been a consistent theme and so morale if negatively impacted. If you need a job, it's not a bad place to be, but I wouldn't leave current role to join.

    Advice to Management

Focus on winning new business. New products offer promise but sales are lagging which will only lead to more cutbacks. More partnerships would help especially in the US

I worked at Unify full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is always in crisis mode. The value in crisis situations is you learn to think fast and you get to develop and use skills you probably never knew you had. Additionally, you do not have to wait for seniority or years in your career to work on high visibility and critical projects and assignments. If you are good, you will be put to use, excessively.

    Cons

Owned by a private equity firm means the company is always being primed to sell. There is always a "restructure" to cut costs and look good on the books. It's quickest way to cut costs is to cut human capital. Perpetual lay offs. Hard to get any traction on any programs or projects. Revolving door management. Employees are incidental in this climate. Cash rules.

    Pros

Flexible hours, good benefits and compensation package. Good co-worker and management structure

    Cons

Company seemed to large at times with conflicting objectives. Too much work for too few employees but yet they keep reducing the workforce. Too much turnover in the executive levels.

    Advice to Management

You need to be more in touch with the lower levels of the organization. Reward outstanding contributions.

    Pros

People are the key assets, although they are leaving in droves given the lack of management stability and tools to perform their jobs.

    Cons

Perpetual change of management- every 3-6 months a new sales leader comes in and changes direction. Too much conflict between channel and direct sales teams. Poor tools for employees to do their jobs. Products don't meet US market requirements.
