Still a great place to work after more than a decade!
Dec 6, 2022 - Product Development in Irving, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I've been with Web for nearly 13 years, and I continue to be impressed by how well they handle growth in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. They "walk the walk" with respect to employee engagement and satisfaction. When they say "happy employees make happy clients," they actually mean it. Employees are supported and empowered to do whatever it takes to help members truly manage their benefits and understand their claims. Accountability is promoted throughout the organization, as is recognition for good results, creating a culture where you can feel good about the work that you do and really feel like you're making a difference.
Cons
Growing fast, bringing on clients with very unique needs, but I'm hopeful they'll continue to manage the growth effectively!

Pros
I didn't know much about WebTPA before I started. But it truly has become my home. I have never met a more caring Leadership Team and a supportive Family of employees to work with. I feel I can grow in this company for many years to come. I enjoy working with my boss and my team. The acquisition with GuideWell is enabling us to grow as an organization even more.
Cons
I miss seeing every one in the office and hope more people will come back- I enjoy working with everyone and feel we collaborate better together in person. Work Life balance is good though and the company flexes based on your needs when you are in office.

This company is growing (which comes with growing pains) but with the right perspective, it's clear the company is getting better and better at serving it's customers and appreciating employees. Leadership is very available and will listen to the concerns of any employee, and seems to not only appreciate the feedback, but take action, when possible.
Cons
There are some members of management that do not seem to embrace Web's open, friendly and supportive culture.

WebTPA has a family culture, strong work life balance and high opportunity for growth
Nov 28, 2022 - Senior Manager, Data Analytics in Irving, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
WebTPA has a very strong family-oriented culture with great senior leadership. I believe my manager (and other managers) actually care about the well-being of their employees - you are not just a number at WebTPA. The compensation package is at least as good or better compared to the market in similar industry (even in these times of high inflation). There is a true open door policy here - you can talk to any of the leadership team and voice your opinion directly; they actually listen and take action. Most people who work here are great people who really want to do better today than they did yesterday. Most who work here really want you to succeed. There is also a very high opportunity for growth within WebTPA - individuals can move from entry-level to management level positions within a reasonable timeframe - no one has a ceiling if they truly want to grow! The work-life balance at WebTPA is great and definitely family-first mindset. I’ve grown tremendously since I have been here and I am proud to call WebTPA home.
Cons
There are times where the owner of specific initiatives/problems isn’t truly known or was never specified by senior leadership (probably an issue in most companies). A huge amount of the historical knowledge lies within a handful of individuals - this creates some bottlenecks at times for solving some problems.

A shell of its former self
Mar 11, 2023 - Member Experience Specialist in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Easy job. Got promoted early.
Cons
The culture that once was is dead. Morale has taken a giant blow. Seems with the company’s growth all they care about now it’s the numbers and no longer the staff. They will stretch the staff out as thin as they can to hit their metric goals for their clients. No exceptions. Very unhappy environment. Lots and lots of turnover of key positions. Claims examiners, MES, CSRs, management, and more all leaving because of the new “stats first” mentality of the company. If you think your voice will be heard then think again here. If I wanna clock in take nonstop calls and clock out for the day then that’s the new expectation. Don’t expect growth, don’t expect change, it’s all about the corporate dollar now. New position offers are never what they seem either. This company is heading in the wrong direction very fast but will tell you everything is great. Don’t believe management.

Pros
Claims administration can be challenging and complex, especially with larger clients that are looking to do something very unique for their employee benefits plans. I really feel like we have a supportive team environment at Web and it not only helps me get things done in my job but also makes me feel appreciated.
Cons
Similar to other companies and industries, there are definitely seasons where there is an uptick in overall workload.
