I have been working at White Castle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can eat for free and good benefits for management.

    Cons

If the bosses don't like you expect harassment, if you're sick you have two choices, come to work sick or call out and work a double the next day or else expect the worse. Don't call the 1-800 number.

    Advice to Management

Stop taking advantage of people just because you think you can because it just might bite you in the butt.

I worked at White Castle part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Rather simple and easy work. The people I worked with were decent.

    Cons

Albeit easy, the work is also repetitive and mundane. As with most customer service roles, you need patience--both with customers and managers, in some cases.

I have been working at White Castle full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay is good. If you get put in a store that fits you it’s awesome. Making your own schedule is nice.

    Cons

Upper management doesn’t care about you. You are just a number and if you don’t make those numbers they try to get rid of you. Upper management will lie to you saying everything is great and then one day they will try to fire you for no valid reasons. They say they have an open door policy, well that’s a lie, run far and fast if they tell you that cuz it’s a trap.

    Advice to Management

Be fair with all your general managers. Don’t lie to them. Don’t tell them to do unethical things.

    Cons

The worst thing to work at any fast food place when you really don’t no how someone else work that mean you have to work extra hard if you working with some one new or some old you don’t no there work ethnic

    Advice to Management

You have to really be judgemental when it comes to hiring these young people and old fast food is fast food it’s not slow service food should be hot cleaniness hygiene customer service even when you having a bad day shake it off at the door don’t bring personal problems at the job learning how to control your temper and yourself you never no who looking at you or paying attention what you doing it’s call having respect for you and others and remember everyone don’t work the same

I worked at White Castle part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Well if you are interested in a fast pace environment & having to keep up with a fast pace then this is the perfect place to be. You can be really comfortable with the small hands on jobs and it can be very easy to maintain.

    Cons

If You aren't as fast paced or quick on picking up new qualities or characteristics in the food industry. It doesn't give as many hours or its not something to be looking forward to if your looking to expand gradually every week.

    Advice to Management

On the management i believe they need to hire more men for the establishment to be well kept up more. It was some careless behavior from management but it was still a great establishment and i learned alot of hands on characteristics.

I have been working at White Castle full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits (health plan, PTO, 401k, Rock Points...)

    Cons

White Castle is a great company to work with but it has very poor upper management(Districts and Regional Supervisors). Management is Promoting ANYONE to crew manager. This shows desperation from management. Also, there is a lot of favoritism, discrimination, and no support what so ever from the District. I have been working here for a long time and every year, management gets more sketchy and weird.

    Advice to Management

I am not advising to fire anybody. I would like for management to look over their strategic hiring, and to actually keep pushing managers to be better instead of leaving them to just run a shift. There is also no proper team Member training, no even for General Managers. That is a real shame.
