Pros

Team of eager and young colleagues looking to get their foot in the door in martech. As the office has transitioned largely back to in person it's an enjoyable office environment.

Cons

At one point this company had promise but leadership changes have caused major irreparable flaws at every level of the organization. There has been a major exodus of talent at all levels of the organization and the backfills are much more junior then the specific roles need. This isn't the fault of the new employees but it's likely because they're cheaper to employ. That combined with clearly employer favored new compensation plans indicates that the company is not in a healthy fiscal state. The individuals who have been advanced to management roles are vastly underqualified for the roles they are in. This has reflected itself in how completely stagnant the product offering has become. Major new features and functions that have been promised are now stretching across years with no delivery. The product offering is essentially the same year to year. While clients do get value out of usage that timeline is narrowing for more mature clients. The workload is literally impossible to manage given the current staffing. There are not enough hours in the day or days in the year to deliver what is contractually required by clients. There needs to be an extremely substantial expansion of hiring which management has not shown the ability or desire to fulfil up to this point

Pros

Junior employees are decent people

Cons

Leadership, sales process, people management, culture, etc. Was asked by a sales manager how to sell the product in my first two months (isn't that what you tell me?) Had to listen to the CEO give a lecture on how companies exist to be acquired ending with "...and that's economics," to a room full of college grads no less (supposedly a former sales guy, but asked what a self-sourced lead is...). Had three different managers in 4 months. Senior management is jumping ship and instead of hiring qualified, competent people they are either dual hatting current employees or promoting good ICs with no leadership experience. Appears to be a race to the bottom, with the CEO's idea of profitability to cut expenses by firing employees and low-balling underqualified leadership who take the positions with dollar signs in their eyes. Culture of blame vs accountability. Operates in complete contradiction to their supposed "core values" - especially at the top.

Thanks for your feedback, we have raised the points that you have mentioned internally. We did have some team changes for the US sales team earlier this year, however we have a new management structure for the sales team in place.

Pros

- Decent compensation - Learning opportunities - Growth opportunity if you fit into a specific box

Cons

- finger pointing. Leaders are always looking for someone to blame when things go wrong. - mistakes are viewed as flaws instead of opportunities for Growth - Upper Level management is often inexperienced and not qualified and overcompensate creating a toxic culture of micro-management - Lack of understanding of unconscious bias - Lack of DEI in Leadership - Avoidance of urgent Diversity issues (specifically in the US) - Management doesn’t like answering tough questions - Management pretends to care about employees growth , but secretly only care about advancing their own careers

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. Diversity and inclusion is important for us, we constantly review our initiatives and work to keep the conversation open and maintain momentum here. We want to ensure that we are hiring a diverse, unique and talented group of employees. While we will always hire based on skills and merit, we are doing what we can to attract a diverse candidate pool and ensure that hiring managers have the ability to make unbiased and fair decisions when recruiting for a role. The great culture and kind nature of the team at Yieldify is something that is frequently praised by our leavers, so we’re sorry you did not have this experience. However, we are taking your observations seriously. . As a result of your review, our People team has met with senior management in the US to discuss your experience in detail. Following on from this, we are including the wider US Team in a direct discussion around culture, and diversity at Yieldify. We are currently confirming what actions they would like to see taken as a result and how we can support both the US team and wider company to ensure we’re all working towards the same goals with regards to diversity and inclusion. As you have mentioned, we have fantastic opportunities for growth at the company, and our managers are all very talented individuals. However managers also need support to thrive in their role as leaders. To ensure this we have monthly touchpoints with managers through 11s and management meetings/training. We’re more than happy to keep you updated with the progress that happens as a result of your review. We’d like to invite you to reach back out to us so we can discuss in further detail. Yieldify.
