Efforts to mitigate the COVID-19 global pandemic have required many working couples to stay home, and lovebirds everywhere are learning what happens when isolation becomes a fact of life. Learn from 2U couples about how to cope with love in the time of coronavirus.
In just weeks, the Coronavirus pandemic has reshaped the way the world lives, works, and learns. These are trying times for us all. Across our business, 2U is taking critical steps to ensure the continuity and delivery of our offerings as our partners' campuses close, travel is impeded, and students are impacted globally.
In a swift response to the growing Coronavirus pandemic, hundreds of universities around the globe have shuttered their campuses and moved instruction online. With millions of students experiencing online learning for the first time, educators worldwide are now grappling with how to deliver academic rigor, engagement, and connection in a virtual format. Not surprisingly, some are questioning the ability of online education to deliver successful student outcomes. But 2U and our university partners know that it’s not a question of “if” high-quality online learning is possible—it’s about what’s required to make it great.

COVID-19 has quickly restructured our lives. Despite that, we’re supporting our university partners now more than ever. To enable our online degree programs, we have transitioned previously in-person collaborations, like course design, to a virtual environment and we’re providing our university partners with support for faculty who do not teach in 2U-powered programs. We have moved 100 percent of Trilogy Education boot camps online, and we’re working with boot camp instructors to ensure they can provide the same high-quality instruction as they did in person. 2Utes are working hard to produce and support short courses as they always have. In 2018, we launched “2U Engage,” a corporate citizenship initiative made of three pillars: Service, Community & Purpose. Today, we’re proud to share we’re working w/ our first Purpose Partner–@International Rescue Committee–to offer scholarships to grad degrees & short courses for their employees.
