#Congratulations to Nicholas Leuthold on your 20-year work #anniversary with the DriveTime family! Nicholas is a Managing Director of Reconditioning Centers. What is it about DriveTime that has made you continue your career here: “First and foremost, of course the people! Many of my most valued relationships have begun at DriveTime. Secondly, the company has always supported and encouraged curiosity and drive to take on new challenges. I have had the opportunity to work in many different departments and each one provided learning opportunities and the chance to build a diverse set of skills that make me feel like I can contribute and be a valuable part of something bigger than myself.” Looking back, what has been your favorite memory: “One?! Wow, that might be impossible. All of my fondest memories have involved two main things - times when I’ve had the opportunity to connect with people in the organization across the country and when the company has persevered through adversity. Happy #FathersDay to all of the dads, stepdads, adoptive dads, father figures, grandpas, uncles, even fur dads (the list goes on)! For a lot of us, we learned how to drive with our dad, and along the way, got a lot of advice. As a way to celebrate and recognize the love and support that these father figures give us all year round, we supplied “donuts for dad” and encouraged our employees to share their favorite piece of advice from dad.
We celebrate #Juneteenth to commemorate the end of legalized slavery in the United States. Let us use this day, Saturday June 19th, to be inspired to be better together. Happy #PrideMonth! We are continuing to celebrate #Pride by recognizing prominent members of the LGBTQ+ community who have broken barriers. This week, we’re highlighting Janet Mock, a Black transgender writer who took her career into television after her book “Redefining Realness” expressing her experience on being transgender became a New York Times Best Seller. She has since become the first transgender Black woman to write and direct an episode of television. She is also a transgender rights activist. Be you, #withPride
Giving back is in our DNA. We partner with @vitalant throughout the year to do our part in giving back and giving blood. In honor of #WorldBloodDonorDay we will be hosting an onsite blood donation event at some of our locations with the help of the bloodmobiles and nurses from Vitalant.

We are jazzed to celebrate #PrideMonth by taking the time to recognize some of the LGBTQ+ community’s influential people, starting with Edith Windsor. After Edith’s wife passed in 2009, the government did not recognize their marriage and she was left to pay thousands in taxes. She waged a war against the Defense of Marriage Act, taking the case all the way to the Supreme Court and won! This case paved the way for the legalization of same-sex marriage. Be you, #withPride.
