He recently turned to Urban League of Greater Kansas City and H&R Block’s Black entrepreneurship program for help developing a business plan that would allow him to scale more easily. Varona hosted a virtual cooking class for associates on how to make bacalaitos, a staple in her home state of Puerto Rico.
