Earlier this month, we kicked off our first US Financial Advisory Sophomore Diversity Day, a series of student events we will host throughout the spring, at our 30 Rockefeller Plaza offices in New York City. Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to learn about the world of finance from our firm’s senior executives and leadership team. Highlights from the event include remarks from Lazard Chairman and CEO Ken Jacobs, a fireside chat with Lazard Financial Advisory CEO Peter Orszag, an interactive case study led by Managing Director of Lazard’s Industrials group Osifo Akhuemonkhan, and a session with Global Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Allyship George Okrah on the future of diversity.
To celebrate Women's History Month, this week we held our annual European Women in Banking event in Paris, around the theme ‘Heritage and Innovation.’ This theme could not resonate more strongly, as we celebrate Lazard’s 175th anniversary – an occasion to reflect on the progress that has been made on gender equality, how to build on our proud heritage, and to explore ways to take advantage of technological change to drive innovation within our business. Thank you to all who participated and to our panel of inspiring speakers, all eminent intellectuals and business figures who integrate the drive for gender equality into their careers.

As we commemorate Veterans Day, Remembrance Day and Armistice Day at Lazard, we recognize and honor those who have served in the military and the families that support them. We asked members of our Veterans Network to share some of the values that emerge in such extraordinary circumstances and what makes truly great leaders and teams. Camaraderie, dedication, discipline and perseverance were just a few of the qualities mentioned. Thank you to those who have served! #veteransday #remembranceday #armistice
¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana! Hispanic Heritage Month is an occasion to celebrate diversity in our everyday life. We are richer as a nation, and as a global community, when we work collaboratively.
