Meet Kali Allard, a LifeCafe Supervisor at Life Time Lakeville. She sat down with us to share her experience working at the Cafe over the last 6 months and finding her passion at Life Time. "Every time I walk into Life Time, I get presented with such a great energy that I always leave better than when I came in. I always thought that in order for me to help others, I would need to be a nurse or need to be in the medical field, and that's just not the case. I have wanted to be a part of that environment that I grew up knowing as a kid my entire life, and so to be in the position that I am right now, especially six months after being out of college and starting a new career and figuring out what suits me and what doesn't, it's amazing to be a part of a great, great place that's so full of empowerment and friendliness and support."
We are thrilled to announce the refresh of our Inclusion page on our Career website. As we continue to celebrate the diversity within our communities, we asked our new Chair of our Inclusion Council his motivation for DE&I at Life Time in 2023. "If you are too BIG to do the small things, then you are too small to do the BIG things. Many tend to focus on the big things but miss all the pieces in between that allow the big picture to come to life. Action is what we need, and having a title is simply having a name, but the actions I will lead, will be felt, and the team I am blessed to work with daily is where we truly will move the needle in this space. It is my honor to serve as the Chair of our Inclusion Council. Now let’s get to work." - David Freeman
In 2022, Life Time honed in on strengthening the development of our team members, including kicking off a formal mentorship program with more than 100 mentors and employee resource groups. We connected with Mashawn, the Concierge Leader from Crosstown in Minnesota, on his mentorship experience at Life Time. "Mentorship has given me someone to call when I am unsure what to try next, and I am starting to doubt myself. My mentors have shown me that being my best and consistently better than I was yesterday is the ultimate focus." Head to our blog to learn more about Mashawn's mentorship experience throughout his years at Life Time.
"I loved the idea of a luxury space Life Time has cultivated continuously over the years. I was thrilled by the opportunity to be a part of an athletic country club that serves exceptional experiences daily to people. What interested me in working on Aquatics was being around the pools all of my life. I have always loved being around water! My journey at Life Time started with me joining as a Lifeguard. As the Kids and Aquatics Leader, I see that my influence is to empower each team member to continue to work on themselves and deliver exceptional experiences that put a smile on each guest. My team and I have a real impact on their daily healthy and happy life. I love the people I work with; working as a team in different departments and different clubs to be successful together is the reason I love working at Life Time. I started as a frontline team member and moved up through the roles. If you are interested in working in the club, I would say work hard and trust the process." - Fahad Alsammarraie, Kids and Aquatics Leader
"I love helping others grow and accomplish their goals, whether in the workplace or in personal growth and being a Facility Operations Leader puts me in the position to do just that. My job allows me to lead from the front, and by example, it's a blessing to get back what you put in and know that if I give it my all, the team behind me will do the same. I started as a Member in 2018! From the get-go, it had such an energetic, positive atmosphere, and everyone was friendly and inviting. It soon became a second home to me, and a year later, it hit me that I'd love working there. Four positions and three years later, I do what I love every day. I do my best to replicate the same positive experience for my team and members. The best part of working for Life Time is recognition- if you are putting in the effort to be the BEST, it will not go unnoticed. I grand opened Life Time Noho in May 2021 as a Facility Operations Leader and will now be Grand Opening Life Time Midtown this Fall!" – William Foley, Facility Operations Leader at Noho (NYC)
Inclusion at Life Time means providing access to a healthy way of life to everyone. The more people that feel safe and included in our spaces, means that we get to change the lives of so many more people. The people that we pull into our Life Time family grows the impact that we have. Hear from Tiffany on her perspective on our community at Life Time and where we are going next!
"Fitness and a healthy lifestyle have always been important to me. It is the LIFESTYLE of health that drew me to Life Time. I started working in the Kids department as a Dance Instructor because there’s something so refreshing about children. They say what they’re thinking, whether it’s good or maybe a little hard to hear. They consistently try new things even when they don’t know how. And I recently started working as a Membership Concierge because I love finding ways to make people feel special Whether it’s a focused question, program suggestion, a small gesture, or a listening ear, my actions can change someone’s day and experience at the club. Our Chappaqua boutique is a family. When you want to be at your place of work when you’re not working, you know you’ve found something special." - Elena, Concierge and Kids Instructor, Life Time Chappaqua
"Finding what moved me was key to dreaming up my future." Valeria has spent her career giving back to others, helping kids in underserved communities through the Life Time Foundation. "It's amazing, I think the number of Team Members at Life Time that come from so many different backgrounds and cultures and for us to feel like we are seen...that our backgrounds, our history matters and putting a spotlight on that is really meaningful." - Valeria La Rosa, Life Time Foundation Senior Program Manager

Feel proud of the way you look! Our uniform guide for club and professional team members has a refreshed look. While the change may be small for some, we saw the transition to a gender-neutral uniform guide necessary to continue a culture of respect for everyone and foster a community of inclusivity. We moved away from binary descriptions and improved imagery that represents everyone. All Team Members now follow a "what fits best" approach, selecting from a wide range of unisex tops and bottoms and suggested attire.
