LiveRamp is so thankful Carlotta Walls LaNier took the time to join us for our "From Protest to Progress" company wide talk today. She shared her childhood story of being the youngest Little Rock Nine member to integrate into Central High School in 1957. When asked how to move forward with important conversations around diversity and acceptance she enthusiastically stated, "Dialogue without confrontation no matter what your setting! Get to know people who don't look like you, who are not in your environment all the time. Understand their culture and learn from them. Be more open minded and listen!" If you have a chance, pick up Mrs. LaNier's book, "A Mighty Long Way: My Journey to Justice at Little Rock Central High School."
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Despite the challenges of 2020, the U.S. WE team wanted to make sure that all LiveRampers felt valued and celebrated for their hard work throughout the last 12 months. The theme of this year’s 2020 U.S. Holiday Party was WINter Wonderland, highlighting the amazing (and numerous!) accomplishments we’ve made this year. If you missed the festivities, here are some highlights: - 498 LiveRampers attended the event - The opening ceremony included two musical performances, a magic show, and an end-of-year toast from Scott - After that, LiveRampers could choose their own adventure! Cooking, crafting, and cocktails were only a few of the options available - The night ended with a dance party and some Among Us Our Global Teams in APAC, Tokyo, Shanghai, Sydney, Nantong, Singapore, London, Paris & Amsterdam all celebrated as well! What a great way to end 2020!!

On behalf of EQUAL, we would like to thank everyone who donated to our first annual fundraiser for LGBTQI+ youth services and the three amazing centers located in San Francisco, New York, and Philadelphia. With your help, we raised over $5000 that will go to support LGBTQI+ youth by providing healthcare, housing, employment, and education services. Your funds will go where they are most needed, helping these centers continue to provide care to young people on their path to self-sufficiency. Thank you again and happy holidays!

It's Indigenous People's Day! Initially a counter-celebration of Columbus Day, the holiday began in 1990 in South Dakota and rose to national prominence over the course of the 2010s. Many reject the celebration of Christopher Columbus, as he represents the violent history of colonization that we can still see the effects of to this day. Some states and many cities have more formally adopted this celebration, but currently it is not federally recognized as an official holiday. This can change! The Smithsonian has five pointers for respectfully honoring the Native peoples of the Americas this year: - Plant native - Read an Indigenous writer - Attend and online Indigenous Peoplesâ Day celebration - Help share a more truthful history of Columbus - Support and advocate for Indigenous Peoplesâ Day
National Coming Out Day has been observed since 1988, celebrating anyone coming out as lesbian, transgender, bisexual, gay, or queer. Much progress has been made since the first National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights in 1979, but coming out still matters and still holds remarkable significance for many queer individuals on a global scale. CELEBRATE & LEARN about pivotal moments in queer history, the statistics of violence against the queer community, and how to get political with your support. CONNECT with LGBTQ+ people on your social media feeds, in your family, in your media, and at your workplace. SUPPORT LGBTQ+ Community members and remember: coming out is deeply personal. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
Last Friday, we lost a champion of women's and LGBTQ+ rights. In the commitment to expanding liberty and equality for all, few stars shine more brightly than Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. A hero and an icon, Justice Ginsburg's passing reminds us of a poignant opportunity to reflect on how far we've come, but more importantly, how much work we have left to do. Since her appointment in 1993, Justice Ginsburg has been on the side of LGBTQ+ rights at every opportunity, from same-sex marriage equality to job protections to decriminalization of homosexuality to legal recognition of queer lives. Outside the courtroom, she was the first Supreme Court member to officiate wedding ceremonies for LGBTQ+ couples. She was and will remain a beacon of inspiration to women, queer folks, and Americans everywhere. Regardless of where you may fall on the political spectrum, Justice Ginsburg's contributions to humanity and society are undeniable. She wasn't just a trailblazer for women - but a trailblazer for anyone impassioned by a cause.
