Our Patterson Affinity Group (PAZ) welcomes employees in groups that are underrepresented and allies. The group focuses on promoting inclusivity across Patterson. This week our PAZ group came together for the first time in Colorado for an in-person summit, where they shared new ideas for how to engage, celebrate and educate our employees on the diverse cultures that make up our organization. They also had time to volunteer locally, and have a little fun too!

Our US and Canadian teams participated in Orange Shirt Day last week to honor the experiences of those who went to Canada's residential schools. The goal is to shine awareness on the school system's lasting impact on Indigenous communities and focus on reconciliation. #WeArePatterson
We held a blood drive at our MN HQ this week to offer the opportunity for Patterson employees to donate blood alongside the Red Cross! The event had a great turnout and we're already looking forward to the next one. One donation can help save more than one life.
It's not every day that our employees get to demonstrate our values in such an obvious way, but this is a pretty good example of "people-first." “Ricky’s efforts and knowledge on how to perform a successful Heimlich maneuver saved the life of one of our cherished Patterson employees,” shares Blythewood Department Manager Benjamin Lentz. “He is well deserving of this lifesaving award as well as acknowledgement in living out the Patterson values.” Ricky was nominated for a National Lifesaving Award through the American Red Cross. Thank you to the nearly 50 Patterson Veterinary and Animal Health International team members, as well as our valued manufacturing partners, who participated in our annual FFA golf tournament last week, and helped us raise over $14,000 for the Colorado FFA Foundation! Wonderful day, wonderful course, wonderful cause.
Are you familiar with Prison Puppy Programs? These are working initiatives happening nationwide to support service dog organizations to train their puppies, while providing incarcerated people access to new skills. America's VetDogs was awarded funds through a grant from the hashtag#PattersonFoundation to purchase the van shown in these photos, to help get these service-dogs-in-training to and from their lessons with inmates in Massachusetts! In honor of September being hashtag#NationalServiceDogMonth, we want to recognize the life-changing impact service dogs provide to veterans, first responders and people with disabilities. It takes countless volunteer hours and resources to train just one dog for service, and we're proud to support this work, in all of its forms. 🐕🦺💙 #WeArePatterson #ServiceDogMonth
