For Baisha, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month is more than just a celebration; it's about embracing and sharing the beauty of diverse backgrounds. “I love that we can take this month to celebrate our background and experiences whether we are of Asian American descent, are married to one, or know one; just understanding that aspect of the person's life that makes them who they are, who we have come to love and who we work with. That is the part that is the most impactful; shining a light on how important our cultures can be to us.” Baisha, Director of Communications for the Chevron Central Team, also serves as the Communication Chair for Sodexo’s Pan-Asian Network Group (PANG). Through her active involvement, Baisha has not only helped promote diversity and inclusion within the company but has also shared her own cultural heritage as a proud Filipino.
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of Sodexo Seniors' First Annual "Week of Giving" in the Blazer Region led by Tracy Blazer, SVP for the west in Seniors. Earlier this year, Sodexo Seniors employees within the Blazer region came together to give back to their client or personal communities and embody the spirit of service that is a cornerstone of Sodexo's commitment. Each district manager within the Blazer Region nominated a general manager to serve as a council member, aiding in the planning and execution of this impactful initiative. The goal was to support charitable causes and make a difference in the lives of others. We are proud to share some of the recent initiatives completed across different regions. In the Pacific Northwest, our teams supported charitable causes such as Nourish Pierce County and NW Harvest SODO. They sorted 1,200 pounds of pasta and 2,000 pounds of rice to aid those in need. Additionally, the Miller District collected over 1,800 canned items, 108 clothing items, and made a significant impact on addressing food insecurity and clothing needs. The results speak volumes: a total of 77 volunteers dedicated 247 hours to support 19 charities, demonstrating the immense generosity and community spirit within the Blazer Region. We are incredibly proud of our teams' efforts, and we appreciate their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others!
