It's National Hispanic Heritage Month! Wondering why it starts mid-month? This date was chosen because it's the anniversary of independence for five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Belize, Chile and Mexico also celebrate their independence during this month. We're happy to celebrate this month across our offices in Canada, Latin America and the United States!
For this week's Stryker Spotlight, we are highlighting members of our Quality Assurance team. First up, meet Sophie J. She started her time with us as a summer intern and has now been with us for one year in her current role. "Being able to see our products actually put to use in the OR was incredible," said Sophie. "Between the awesome people I get to work with every day and knowing that my work is helping save lives – there is no place I would rather be."

Stryker will never forget 9/11 and we honor the day by giving back to our military and veteran community. Today we held our 4th annual National Day of Service and Remembrance event where we built care packages for our troops. We partner with the Mahwah Marine Moms and North Jersey Military Moms to ship the care packages around the world. Special guest Chris Wilson, son of one of the Moms and former USMC officer, shared his deployment experience and how it felt to receive a care package while in the field. #NeverForget
