The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DISH (Hilliard, OH) in Aug 2010
Interview
I applied for the CSR position at Dish network about a week ago, took an hour and a half. It immediately wanted me to set up an interview date and time. Did so, and showed up for the interview. I waited for maybe 20 minutes, my name was called and went to a room with a few computers and basically had to do the same exact interactive call center simulation test that was on the application but you actually had to speak your answers as if it were to a customer and type notes into the ticket as fast as you could. Not difficult really. it tells you afterward if you passed or not. Then had to wait for about 20 more minutes. HR lady came out and took me to a back room where I was asked a few question like describe a scenario when you went above and beyond the call of duty to get a job done. A few others like that then I was asked if there was anything stopping you from getting dish network service. Its free with the job but I don't like how they pretty much force it on you. Then was taken back to the waiting room, waited about 40 minutes and another HR gentleman came and gave me a second interview. He went through just about everything to do with the job. Benefits, rules, attendence, what they expect, what it will be like on the call center floor, how training will go, things like that. Went over more questions like the first interview. Then I was told that I would be in the training class in the very near future. They would call me within a week. We shall see how that goes. The people were very pleasent, Place was very clean, up to date with technology with amd processors in the computers, saw a couple intel machines....meh, all employees seemed to be cheerful. This interview experience with be positive or negative based on if I get the job or not. But the Interview I thought went fairly well

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at DISH in Jun 2025
Interview
The interview was done online and lasted about 30 minutes. The recruiter was gracious, professional, and very easy to talk to. She had a lot of information to discuss, which is good as she was thorough in making sure I, as a candidate, knew what I was getting into. So, communication and honesty were emphasized, which helped me in making my decision. Most of the interview was reviewing DISH culture and policies and ensuring I understood them. She then asked approximately 3 situational questions and a few relatively personal questions to get to know more about my personality. They weren't difficult questions, but should be answered in STAR format. I believe one of them was about learning a new skill and applying it in the context of customer service. This interview was one of the better ones that I have experienced in my life, so I don't really have anything negative or critical to say.
