What is paid time off like at Bayer?

Pros

If you are a full time employee, there are good benefits, paid vacation, and sick leave.

Cons

If you are not a full time employee, and are a contractor like I am, you do not get any paid vacation and in fact are discouraged from taking more than 2 weeks off. I would not recommend to any one to accept a contractor position with this company. I was told multiple times that it was very likely that I would be offered a full time employee position with Bayer after my initial 6 month contract was up. This was not the case for me or any of my other contracted coworkers.

If you are a full time employee, there are good benefits, paid vacation, and sick leave.

Does Bayer offer massages?

Pros

The company is very clean and there is free coffee. Also the location in Berlin is nice.

Cons

Hierarchy to the max. If you are not white, male, German, forget it...you are out. Managers with very poor leadership skills. No decisions, no innovation, only endless power point presentations. The only focus is the internal politics and how to create relationship to get promoted. The frustration of the employees, you can almost touch it in the air. Look in the other Social Media channels..there are hundreds of Heads, SVPs, VPs, CIOs.... how can it be possible? Low performance is more then welcome in this company. My advice to you: run the fastest you can from Bayer.

Advice to Management

Resign, give space to others. This company is not an agency where you can seat and drink coffee all day. Patients are paying for your fat salaries expecting solutions not Power Point presentations.

The company is very clean and there is free coffee.
