Does Costco Wholesale offer massages?

Pros

Good pay and free food all day once a week. Met some good people, and good employees.

Cons

Scheduling are not very flexible, and didn't get my schedule in any "Ahead of time" as it was supposed to be. Do not recommend for college students and employees who have a 2nd job. Job is very draining.. and I didn't feel like I belonged.

Advice to Management

Respect the employee's time by creating the schedule atleast a week ahead, not during the week. I understand the demand and pressure of the job, but treat all employees equally, do not be any more lenient to older employees who have been working there for a while. (e.g letting them chat, use phones etc)

Does Costco Wholesale offer dental insurance?

Pros

In the many years working here I have been pleased as an employee, decent pay, good medical, dental, vision , life insurance and 401K benefits.

Cons

Recently the work environment has changed, has been overwhelming, and stressful. The pressure for us to perform has increased and it feels as though upper management has loss sight of the importance of keeping employees satisfied. I have seen the changes in the recent years and this past year during the pandemic I did not feel valued as an employee.

Does Costco Wholesale have a pension plan?

Pros

Great pay, great benefits, good pension

Cons

Nit-picky at times, slackers get away with a lot while others pick up the slack.

Advice to Management

Hire better people, and don't keep employees who don't perform beyond their probation period. Sometimes you're polishing the silver while the house is burning. Fix the culture that you say is what makes Costco a great place to work. Pitting employees against each other to rat each other out is not good culture.

Does Costco Wholesale offer a wellness program?

Pros

Good benefits: Vacation, Sick time, 401(k), employee assistance programs, wellness programs. Good pay that increases every year. Little to no turn over (job security).

Cons

Old boys culture. Pay does not match industry wages for the same jobs. Nepotism and lack of transparency with promotions and pay. It is getting better...but slowly. No flexibility for working from home (i.e., telecommunicating is not permitted).

Advice to Management

Work on fostering an open minded, inclusive culture where new ideas are welcome and utilized. Hold management practices accountable and continue your hard work of creating transparency and fairness with hiring. Create an equal scale for all genders based on role, to ensure employees are being paid fairly and consistently with the demands of a position.
