      Culture declining

      Current employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Work-Life Balance: Many software engineers at LinkedIn appreciate the company's commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The flexibility in work schedules and the ability to work remotely are often highlighted as positive aspects. Compensation and Benefits: LinkedIn is known for offering competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages. Employees frequently mention the generous perks, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits,

      Cons

Declining Engineering Culture: There is a growing concern among employees about the decline in engineering culture. This includes the emergence of a performance improvement plan (PIP) culture, which some feel has negatively impacted morale and collaboration among teams. Leadership and Management: Some engineers have expressed dissatisfaction with the leadership and management at LinkedIn. The forced stack ranking for performance reviews, which focuses on short-term impact, is seen as a naive approach that undermines long-term innovation and employee satisfaction.

      Client solutions manager
      Former employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

benefits, food, great people, and flexibility to work from home

      Cons

It's a place where you really need to learn to play politics. Keep your manager happy and you will succeed. I found that people that were great at "playing the game" did well.

      3

      Avoid at all costs

      Systems engineer
      Current employee
      Sunnyvale, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Pay was decent Culture was decent Offices and perks were great

      Cons

After barely missing our targets two quarters in a row, Linkedin immediately threw away all compassion, culture, and caring for the well being of it's employees. After a pretty substantial layoff round, they started removing internal benefits and forced the managers to give low ratings and PIP a certain percentage of their staff, regardless of actual performance and skill. They're also forcing RTO on specific days and not allowing for any reasonable exceptions. Advice to anyone considering a job at Linkedin: stay away! Used to be great but now the culture is garbage - everyone who has skills in demand are gone, or working on it actively.

This company used to be a great, but not anymore.

      Strategic support specialist

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Although it's no longer a fully remote job, the company offers flexible work arrangements, great benefits, a nice office, and free lunch.

      Cons

This company used to be a great place to work. Employees were treated well, and the work environment was positive. However, things changed significantly after COVID. There have been constant layoffs.

      Great Company, Great People

      Smb account executive
      Current employee

      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

LinkedIn is an amazing place to work. The culture, pay, people are all outstanding and I couldn’t imagine better benefits, and people you’d rather be around.

      Cons

Upskilling, because of their dominance in their target markets there’s never really been a need at least as of late to have the top skill set development. It’s a product they the people of their industry need.
