Does Nutanix offer dental insurance?

Pros

Nutanix is, frankly, a great ENVIRONMENT to work it. Emphasis on the environment here, there are free massages and catered lunch and fully paid medical, dental, vision, etc... but that still wasn't enough to make me look forward to work. In fact, by the end of it it felt like a ploy to get us to stay longer and work more hours rather than an appreciation by Nutanix to its employees.

Cons

When I started it felt like Nutanix and its employees had values that we were all working for (overhauling Dell for hyperconverged all the way!), but wrong hiring has led to a majority of its employees only caring about themselves and their money that they could be making. Sales leadership is scattered completely and has frankly gone completely down the drain, there is STILL no enablement for their employees despite their quick hiring of more salespeople, and comp plans have become completely ridiculous. Combine this all to the shrinking of sales territories across the board to almost unworkable conditions, and I think you can see why catered lunch and free massages meant nothing.

Advice to Management

Enable your employees! Actually have easily accessible and digestible information available for them on the products and competitive landscape and an onboarding program that actually prepares each level of salesperson for the applications and deal cycles they will be dealing with. Pay your salespeople more!! It's extremely low compared to industry average. Hire management that supports and advocates for their employees. Focus on the mission of Nutanix's Hungry Humble Honest rather than the bottom line.

Does Nutanix offer family leave?

Pros

Leader in HCI according to Forrester and the Magic Quadrant.

Cons

Poor leadership, horrible rep churn and too many management changes within the channel sales / support organization specifically. They rip you off at every corner, Including becoming a new parent. I worked very hard developing my set of partners, and stayed up until midnight many nights (by my own choice) to get ahead, when it was getting close to my first child being born. My calendar was packed, and my top partners were doing great. When I came back from my paternity leave, my top accounts were stripped from me without discussion, notification, or acceptable reason. I was told a field rep was promoting a few accounts, and needed a few in territory accounts or he was going to lose his job. They took my top partners and gave them away for that reason (he never ended up losing his original accounts) and I got placed on an impossible PiP for it, being told to Instantly load 400% of quota in pipeline opportunities within a week (I’m in partner development, not sales..) or I’d be fired. Needless to say, I was reduced from 200%+ to quota down to 12% overnight, and fired the next week. This is a completely unethical company that did not value me as a person, or as a brand new dad.

Advice to Management

Take care of your teams. I know many of them do, but my particular team was getting constant ‘job whiplash’. Our responsibilities changed literally every single week, and sometimes on a daily basis.
