What are perks and other benefits like at Safeway?

Job is easy and you have a union so you get decent benefits like getting a pay increase of 10 cents every 500 hours worked, Dental, eye/vision care, and pharmacy insurance, and other perks.

You start at a minimum wage of $15 per hour and you only get at most 32 hours per week. The maximum wage you can get is $22 per hour but It would take you years to get there. This is only for the Deli clerk position, other departments have different hours and contracts.

Have company pension plan, health benefits and paid time off

Hard work and possibly to get transfer to other store

The occasional free bakery snacks, good coworkers.

Management is awful, there is not room to have a pay raise or a better position at the company, zero benefits, little choices for time off, pressured into extra shifts, pressured into filling in at different areas in the store such as grocery and deli, minimum wage even after working for 5 years.

The benefits were nice and the work was reasonable based on the pay you were getting. You get offered employee discounts as well.

There was one lady which im not going to name that made me quit. She was always rude and wanted to always argue with other co workers. She made the days for us almost unbearable and as soon as she left it would be like a boulder off our team in the bakery. Management for workers could be better especially older workers.

Flexible hours, decent team, many lcoations to work at.

Impossible to get benefits, hours always cut, very toxic work environment, and high intensity management made working exhausting.

as a barista you're actually part of safeway, not starbucks, so you don't get the benefits a normal barista would
