      Pros

Good benefits, great pay, work culture is team dependent

      Cons

I had the worst 8 weeks of my life, the mentor i got assigned didnt had even 1 minute to spend on me and he used to work 9am - 11 pm and also on weekends and expected the same from me. As he use to get regular updates from me in the weekends i also had to put effort. After all the efforts and working almost 12+ hrs everyday i used to be regularly given reviews like "you are just lucky you got here", "how can you not know anything so basic", "i explained you why cant you get it in your head", He made sure to ping me friday evening of all the work items i have to complete over the weekend. I used to feel very alone and used to do the same thing over and over again if it was not working and when i used to ask for help i was asked to do the same thing that i had been doing from past 3 days.

A great place to work despite the current market uncertainties

      Senior manager
      Current employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Great pay, benefits, company values, and company culture. A diverse workforce with a lot of really bright and talented people everywhere you turn. A clear values-based organization that puts its money where its mouth is when it comes to encouraging giving back, wellness, and climate. Great products that provide real value to customers and a desire to innovate and be the best at what we do.

      Cons

As more external executives join the company, Salesforce loses a little more of its central identity and becomes a Frankenstein's monster of external corporate culture. The new focus on shareholder satisfaction, margins, and profits has a detrimental impact on worker happiness and well-being and has put an unnecessary emphasis on things like which category of Uber you use to get to and from the airport. The company is so big that, at times, multiple people are working on the same thing but not cross-functionally collaborating and taking different paths to get there. Promotion pathways can be a bit ambiguous and undefined.

      Pros

It's a positive work environment. The benefits are great, the pay is good, and it's very inclusive. Most (not all, but most) coworkers are great. They really make you feel like you're at one of the world's largest companies. Great place for people who love longer term, more complex sales, or the financial stability of a big name company. They're also on the cutting edge of AI, so if that's something you're interested in, this is one of the Places to Be.

      Cons

Biggest con for me as a seller is that you have to roll the dice. The sales team policy is inflexible, and they're constantly changing their products and their company focus, so if you just so happen to have customers that aren't the right fit for this quarter's shiny new thing, you're punished for it. Or, you could get a huge, profitable account mis-assigned to you, at which point, it won't get taken back, and you can coast on it without having to worry. The inflexible pressure on the sales team sometimes leads to sellers making short-term decisions that are good for their quarterly numbers but bad for the company. Everyone knows it happens, but that doesn't make it better. Managers are hit and miss. Some are great, others are bad. Transparency at the direct supervisor level is excellent, but above there, it gets opaque fast. And, of course, they do layoffs on a very regular basis. This applies to all departments. You'll have to be prepared for the possibility, even if you're a performer.
