What are perks and other benefits like at Starbucks?

      Business Outlook

      Pros

the pay and benefits were pretty decent, they gave health insurance to anyone who worked 25 hours a week or more and they paid for your spotify premium and you could get discounts on a lot of things just by saying you worked for starbucks

      Cons

I was told that you could easily have a work life balance but that was the biggest lie there was no work life balance and if you tried to have any sort of boundaries it felt like my bosses made me feel like I was doing something wrong. And even though they didn't say it they were very against unions and made me believe for a while that unionizing was a bad thing. it wasnt until i left that I realized I was wrong to think that

      Pros

Great benefits including tuition reimbursement and free Spotify premium, dealership discounts and similar, as well as a portion of stock allocated to you for every year you're with the company. Great perks like free drinks and food on shift per regulations, discounts on product, etc.

      Cons

Long shifts, difficult customers, it is likely you'll be disrespected and yelled at by disgruntled guests. There are some workplace hazards as well such as boiling water and some medium machinery.

      Pros

Employee Benefits: For a retail job, Starbucks offers impressive benefits, including healthcare, tuition reimbursement, stock options, and free coffee! Team Environment: The fast-paced, team-oriented culture can be very rewarding, allowing you to build strong relationships with co-workers.

      Cons

Fast-Paced Work: During peak hours, the environment can get very stressful, especially with large orders and demanding customers.

Like watching a car wreck, but in slow motion.

      Pros

It pays pretty well compared to other fast food jobs, and I think most districts will give you annual raises. I was making $17/hr by the time I quit. You can also get decent benefits even when working part time, including health insurance, free tuition at ASU, and free Spotify premium. It can sometimes be really fun to make drinks and chat with customers. I had awesome coworkers and a really great store environment, too.

      Cons

The constant management changes have been a huge mess. In my last 2 years at Starbucks, managers were only allowed to staff skeleton crews. So many of us were desperate for hours, but couldn't get more. A properly staffed establishment does NOT fall apart when one person calls off. Although I don't work there anymore, I've been following what they're doing and corporate has been creating all sorts of new rules that make it seem like they don't understand what customers want or care about their employees. The job was already hard, and they're just making it so much harder.

      Cons

unrealistic expectations from management and corporate, catty/gossipy behaviors run rampant in the company, standards are constantly changed seemingly without the baristas in mind, micromanagement,
