The company culture is genuine, and most leadership really cares about Team members, customers, and products. This makes it a great place to start a career, meeting ambitious, customer and product-obsessed individuals that can really support your long-term growth, even outside the company.

The benefits package is not very competitive, and while the company was once a leader in generous pay to secure good talent at all positions, this has eroded, along with many cornerstones of the company's core values and culture. I hope this company can get back to its true values.

25% discount is worth nothing now that prices have gone up so much and cost of living has also risen. Was great 5 years ago but hasn't changed to reflect the raise in costs. Some management team members have a very crappy work ethic. They will leave you at the tills by yourself for hours on end to do "admin" or "banking" or to "catch up" with one another when they clearly saw each other 2 days ago. Not much to catch up on. They will call you on your day off if they're short staffed and refuse to hire new people. Theres a questionnaire every year that team members can fill out and share their grievances, but dont worry, they wont listen to a word you say and only respond with how well the companies profits are doing. There is a performance review once a year. Essentially you work hard all year round and try hard to stand out with your hard work but by the end of it, the most pay raise you get doesn't even come to £1, which is insulting. All perks, bonuses and benefits that management used to have before amazon came in the picture have all been scrapped so you'll hear stories of how they would get so many bonuses free staff food and even shares of the company while you get nothing in comparison and struggle with how underpaid you are. Pay is bad now. Some Low budget supermarkets now pay their staff a living wage of up to £15. Here you will get £12 as a starting pay and it can take you a good 5 years to even reach £14 they way their pay raises work. Gossip culture/ back stabbing - mostly from upper management. *Join a union no matter what the company says to you. *

A bit cult like and cliquey. Definitely a corporate work vibe after Amazon bought them out. I had a terrible manager and was being exploited doing lots of physical labor in receiving produce getting minimal pay. That is why I quit.

Love my coworkers all so nice. The part time benefits are good aka the store discount. Good flexible schedule for a college student which I am. And the pay is nice.

Sometimes the work load is a lot. And when asking questions like when talking about how we can’t do overtime I asked “well what if we can’t finish” and all I got was “well you have too” so that didn’t really help too much but that’s it.
