      Brand Representative Interview

      Sep 29, 2017
      Anonymous employee
Ashford, Kent, South East England, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Ashford, Kent, South East England, England) in Sep 2017

      Interview

I applied online on a Saturday not really expecting much because I’ve been so used to not hearing anything back from companies for a part time job because I have no experience at 17. During the online application it asked me to choose an interview date, so I chose for the following week on a Friday at 4pm. I did quite a lot of research and looking on glassdoor for information about the interview etc. I wanted the job but I wasn’t expecting anything because I knew loads of people apply and I was a bit scared away by the whole looks judging. I got a call the night before the interview asking if I was still gonna come to the interview and of course I said yes. She also said it was gonna be a group interview, so I was expecting like 6-8 people etc. I was super nervous for the interview when I got there. I made sure to arrive 15 minutes early so I could check my hair and makeup, I tried to keep it simple etc with just mascara and foundation and hair down. I walked into the store confidentially and asked one of the workers there to say I was there for an interview, she checked me in and then asked me to walk around for a bit whilst she got the person who was gonna do the interview. Whilst I was waiting another worker greeted me and made friendly conversation and wished me good luck which made me feel a lot better going into the interview! There was one boy and me in the interview, we were both 17, I was expecting a lot more people but I’m so glad there was just two of us because it made me feel better and I felt more relaxed. She made us fill out our availability etc, then took us into the stock room for the interview. We took it in turns going first. After the interview she said if we were successful we’d hear a call in a week, tonight or in a couple days so I was hoping I’d get a call because I thought it went well. Over the weekend I waited but nothing, on Monday I was waiting but nothing, so I kinda was like oh I haven’t got it, but then on Tuesday around 6:30pm I got a call saying I was successful and she asked me when I was free to do some paperwork etc, I was free the next day and so paperwork took around 30 mins. Then I was asked about when I was free for training/orienteering. I had to wait around a 1 week and a half on the following Friday. She said training would be around 3 hours and it would be paid. She told me all about how it works and the bi-weekly pay, and about my next shifts! Everyone was really friendly!
