This happened with the Spanish Human Resources team ( Talent & Culture). I sent my application and shortly after I got an interview scheduled. The interview went well and the interviewer explained that the manager would contact me for the next one.
I messaged the interviewer two days after the first interview to ask about the hiring timeline (because I had forgotten to ask about it), but I never received an answer. I tried contacting her two times more in the following three weeks to no avail. I had been ghosted.
I was never contacted by the manager. The company's hiring platform stated that I still was part of the hiring process for the next month and a half yet I later discovered that a similar, not advertised position very similar to the one I applied to, had already been filled soon after I had my first interview. I never received a communication from the company about not going forward with them and the company's hiring platform switched from the one they had when I signed up to W3Days, effectively deleting (or not migrating) my account with my personal information without informing me, so I couldn't follow my application's status.
I contacted the company asking if they could inform me of my application status and what had happened to my personal data, but after following front desk's protocol and my email being sent to the appropriate person, I still haven't been contacted after more than a month.
Spain's HR group is non-communicative and lacks the minimum decorum when it comes to managing applicants.
