I applied online. I interviewed at AppRiver in Aug 2014
Interview
I had a total of 4 interviews. 3 phone interviews and 1 in person interview. I was very impressed with HR and how they handled the communication process. I was also impressed with the technical interviews. They were more interested in me as a developer and my experience rather than if I knew an obscure language syntax. I was able to communicate my technical knowledge by explaining how I designed my various projects in my past. It was a great interview process and I wish more companies followed their lead.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AppRiver (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2016
Interview
There was an HR phone screen where we talked about my experience and the company. That was followed by a more technical phone interview discussing my experience and different principles of software development. Finally I came into their Atlanta office to interview with the developers I would be working with. We talked about my experience and I showed them a personal project I had worked on.

Are you familiar with any unit testing frameworks?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AppRiver (Gulf Breeze, FL)
Interview
Initial communication was very good thanks to two phone interviews, one with an HR screener, another with team leads. The in-person was interview was a bit odd. There were several people in the room, all with a seat pointed at me. Questions came from every direction, but it seemed very scatter-brained. I could tell that they had disagreement as to what type of developer they were looking for, even where they were going with the company. One of the leads even fell asleep during the interview process.
As for the office itself, it was very dark where the developers sat, which I suppose is fine for some people. It just seemed strange though. Even though I didn't get the job, it was likely a blessing in disguise.
