      Technical Trainer Interview

      No offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Aviva (York, England) in May 2026

      Interview

Had a response several weeks after applying. Wasn't sent the interview information correctly by the recruiter who didn't reply to any comms, and so had to go into the interview potentially unprepared and prepped based off previous experience of interviews. Luckily the interview itself went well. Standard questions about experience, background, philosophy etc. Good conversation and fact finding in role. Heard back immediately to progress to another interview call with another member of staff related to the role. Scheduled in for a few days after - much more tick box interview, felt a bit forced and predetermined. Although not unpleasant. Heard nothing after this. Contacted the recruiter and had no response on phone, or email when just asking for feedback so could decide between offers on the table. Overall the recruitment department and this individual more specifically are a shining example of why recruitment right now has the negative perception it has. Incompetent overall in the process and disrespectful to the candidate.
