Carrabba's Italian Grill Interview Questions

2 interviews with manger & co-proprietor. First interview was pretty easy just getting to know one of the managers. The second interview was more focused on serving and eventually training that led to opening a bottle of wine for a table.

Interviews was straight forward. It helped to have been a previous patron and have *some* knowledge of the menu. The hard part was the training and tests after being hired.

They ask about the experience, employment authorization and explain about the salary and training. The training is about one week while you get the experience and the you could start in your position as a server. They told me it was very busy place.

Straightforward. No prior experience needed. Mostly asked about willingness to learn and availability. Why you want to work there and what your strengths are in a busy, fast paced setting.

I went to the restaurant before they opened and waited to meet with a manager. The manager sat me down at a booth, offered me some water, and asked when I would be available to start.

Applied through Indeed and was immediately called by the District Manager. Had a 45 min phone interview with her. Was told that she is in a different area and she needed to give my information to the DM for my area. My area DM called me and we had a phone interview for approx 1.5 hours. Spoke about P&L and finances of the store as a whole. My experience as a GM. Leadership experience and so forth. Fairly normal interview for a Store Manager Level. Was asked to schedule another interview with a Senior Managing Partner. Met with Training managing partner about 4 days later at his store and we mainly spoke about the culture of Carrrabbas. How they were founded and what it really means to be a MP with them. They don't call their General Managers GM because the Managing Partners are actually invested in the store 10%. Heard back from the DM same day wanting to have another interview at a different store. Met with him and he explained to me what his expectations were for his Managing Partners. The training period and how long it would be before I had my own store. (Note here. My particular DM doesn't promote to MP before he feels they are ready to be promoted. You have to earn that promotion). Was offered job at this time and accepted it.

Simple, asked about my experience and availability. I already had experience working in bartending so the interview was speedy. The manager was prompt and kind. I ended up working there for 5 years

Great interview, and made me excited to start. Great opportunity for a sales man or woman! I would recommend giving this place a shot. Plus they have great perks as well.

Very relaxed. Not threatening. Carrabas tends to do a good job with hiring. Interviews usually happen at the restaurant itself. Good Experience! Can vary upon hiring managers and the overall attitude of the restaurant itself

The managers were very accommodating and I felt welcome. I also was given a lot info about the job. I also spoke with current employees and the owner. Very helpful situation. And I learned a lot
