Application
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Co-op (Worthing, West Sussex, South East England, England) in Oct 2014
Interview
You can apply online or ask for an application form in your local co-op store, fill it out, return it and wait for them to contact you. You may be called in for an interview in store. If so all it will be is a few basic "why do you think you'd be good for this role" questions and some basic questions about your availability. Then you are given a form and 20 minutes to fill it out, just with some basic questions about customer service (I assume this is to see wether your written communication and persuasion skills are good) then I was told on the day that I got the job.
Very impersonal. All done online and the logic between what constitutes a good or bad answer is totally unidentifiable. You would have better luck turning up in person and asking if you can hand in your CV and interview in person instead!

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Co-op (Bournemouth, England) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was very easy and straightforward. The interviewer was kind and made it feel more like a friendly, comfortable conversation than a formal interview. As well as one of the best interviews I've actually had.
