I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Datadog (New York, NY) in Sep 2025
Interview
The recruiting team came to our campus and held a panel. I received an OA on the following day. Two days later, I scheduled an HR call with the recruiter. Right after the call, the recruiter told me I was passed to the next round, which was the only one and final technical interview. It was 75-minutes. You would be asked to talk about one your projects. The interviewer should be a senior engineer or someone above and he/she would ask you some follow-up questions about your projects (basically like why you used a specific tech stack and how you would handle scalability, etc.) You should also be given two LeetCode-like questions to work on. The synchronous coding platform they used was CodePair, You got to share your screen, solve the problem with reasonable hints from the interviewer, and pass all the tests. I finished my problem earlier so I was given a third one, but the interviewer said it was just for fun and not mandatory at all. Good luck guys!!!
Very light. Quick recruiter screen and then a 75 or so minute technical with one of the engineers where you go over a project & two leetcode mediums. Was overall very chill, they are willing to help you as well.
Interviewers were very nice, standard leetcode mediums asked only. They also expected me to talk about a previous project of mine in depth as well as explain challenges that went along with it
Straightforward and easy, they were very communicative but interview process stretched over multiple weeks. Behavioral/screening with recruiter and then technical interview with 2 questions and they ask about a project on your resume
