I had a chat with a recruiter before receiving a home assignment with a vague explanation and little direction, I submitted the home assignment and was rejected, they offered to give some feedback but never called me back.

Question 1
Create an application that monitors CPU load and generates alerts if it's too high, display the alerts and the load on a webpage.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Datadog (New York, NY) in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview started with a recruiter phone screen, then two coding rounds and system design. The coding was not typical leetcode and I was satisfied with the questions. System design was trickier, but still felt reasonable.

Échange téléphonique puis entretien technique (code/algo) en visio.
Si cela est approuvé, il y aura par la suite trois entretiens, deux techniques (code/algo et system design) ensuite un entretien avec un manager pour positionner l'équipe cible.

The interview process contained a hackerrank test, a technical interview and a hiring manager interview.
The coding questions were all leetcode easy/medium. Interviewers and recruiter were extremely nice and responded fast.
