I was referred to the position by a professional connection. A Talent Acquisition leader reached out to set up an initial interview. During that call, she asked me to verify basic information about myself and I asked her to share salary range information. She told me next to nothing about the actual role or team, but said she'd be moving me forward to the next round for an interview with the hiring manager. I interviewed with the hiring manager who explained more about the role and his team. He asked basic questions like to describe my relevant experience and why I'm interested in the role. I asked him some thoughtful questions at the end of our time. He said he was excited to have me speak to his boss as a next step and I should wait for the TA person to set up that meeting. 4 weeks and a couple of follow-ups later, the TA person finally got back to me to let me know I would not be moving forward in the process. She didn't include anything remotely nice in the email, not even a "thank you for your time".
